I thought they wanted to prove they belonged in the playoffs? The playoffs ruined the bowl games. Maybe the expansion will help.

Jmo, but I think in the long run, playoff expansion will all but eliminate non-playoff bowl games.

I’m going to assume this was just a discussion prompt, and not a serious question.

Mickey Mantle had 4 second speed to 1st base - paired with 500 ft power from both sides of the plate. He could do things in any era.

Guys like Mickey Mantle & Bo Jackson weren’t made in a lab, they’re not the effect of hard work in the gym. What they are can’t be re-created.

They’re the result of the Thunder Gods reaching down and touching them at birth.

Mickey was timed at 3.1 secs which would be considered slow for nowadays…. i am assuming that he was faster than that and the way they timed guys made him seem slower than he actually was. It is an interesting discussion… i have often wondered which guys would be as good now… which ones might be better in this era…. and which ones would just be considered average in todays game.

I personally am a Titleist man but Mizuno makes the best irons. Tiger’s irons were always Mizuno with a Nike stamp on them.
