Not a terrible argument.

Daniels was other worldly.

Milroe 23 TDs 6 INT but dynamic
Beck 22 / 6
Cook 20 / 6
Dart 20 / 5

Milton 20 / 5

A lot of ass QBs for a conference with 6 top 25 teams apparently.
Yea outside of Daniels everybody else pretty much has the same numbers...Daniels was awesome this year. What a difference a year makes.

In what ways, specifically, is 9-4 worth more than Nico getting 4 quarters of work against a stout defense going into next season?

20 wins over 2 seasons would be the best win total for Vol football since 03-04.

Feels pretty significant. 19 is already best since 06-07. But how many teams have averaged 10 wins per year over the last 2?

UT will be selling that HARD to recruits.

Edit: Bama, UGA, TX, Michigan, OSU, Washington, FSU, Oregon are the only ones I can think of in P5.

Could be forgetting some tho?

Edit to add FSU & Oregon

Has Rodgers become the most sensitive and defensive pro athlete?

I don’t buy for one second that it was the coaches and organizations idea to activate him from IR.

You mean a playoff spot. They weren’t sniffing the actual NC without Travis
i 100% degree…!it would have been a challenge but not impossible with the defense they have…. Things like that has happened many times in history… Just not recently with how strong the top team has been…. This year though…. there isn’t a dominate team…. Alabama should have lost to Auburn… Texas had several close calls… as did washington… Michigan has been the most dominant but their offense was hardly impressive.

That's an interesting fact, but not something anyone is going to remember or care about in 8 months.

And I just think the recruiting angle is the stretch of stretches. "I would have come to UT if they had the best two year stretch since 2003. But 2006? Nah..". I think if recruits cared all that much about the record of teams they weren't on, our recruiting would have sky rocketed after last year, yet it has stayed about where it's been the last decade.

And I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer or something. I'm not trying to rationalize winning. You don't need to sell me on winning. I just think in bowl games, especially now, you are better served to put yourself in a position to win more meaningful, conference games if you approach the bowl game with an eye toward next season in terms of how you manage the roster.

Yeah they would’ve gotten beaten by 2 scores minimum by any of those 3 teams.

FSU with Travis beat Boston College by 2 while giving up 29, Clemson by 7 while giving up 24, Miami by 7 while giving up 20.

Michigan maybe would’ve struggled to score? But would’ve shut them down. Bama and TX are scoring more than 20. FSU without Travis is scoring 10.
