Dobbs started the Bowl game vs Iowa....

Watching Dobbs come in vs Alabama that year was one of the coolest moments. Yeah, we lost by 14, but he came in and showed something special. Sparked us to a mini-surge and made Bama sweat it out a bit.

He popped right off the screem almost immediately and instantly became a fan favorite.

Nobody (even me) just sees sunshine and roses. I don’t think you only see what could go wrong. You just get frustrated that some want to scream like a two year old brat because they didn’t consider it might not be the way they want. There were confirmed team issues starting with Mr. banks. Banks was the defensive leader plain and simple the collapse was basically that side of the ball, correct? I feel like the offense still moved the ball. I usually watch games two to three times, that was one I just left alone and didn’t revisit so my memory isn’t great

Bc your previous post bashing Milton’s leadership didn’t break the team into offense and defense. You said team. But now that I blew a hole in that theory it is divided into different leaders for O and D. Interesting.

I get it. My old boss (~mid 30s female) would go with her aunt twice a year...she easily spent 10k+ a year just there.

I never got it, but shut my mouth and ended up being glad, because she wasn't the only one from the bank doing this. I've learned a thing or two choosing not to be judgmental (or at least try my best not to). I'll never get it and find it odd, but I swim in my own weirdness, so I can't say shiz either.

I'm still working on this in action, but to each their own as long as they're not harming others.

You didn’t tho. Nice try. One game loss with Hendon, as opposed to several melt downs in multiple games including poor performances vs mediocre teams in the beginning of the season. Thanks for showing me!

I agree with you. Joe gave the appearance of being too comfortable losIng. That might have been a front, but i would believe your take. My questiom is it asking too much for Nico to shoulder that shift this early in his career?

Nico should have been playing earlier.
I think he’s more ready as a true freshman than Joe Milton was as a 6th senior

Am I the only one that cares more about winning than just an exhibition of players? Yeah, excited to see them but really want to win.

You play to win the game. Each and every one.

Not some hope that a moral victory helps you to win in some hypothetical future. That doesn't say much to the locker room.

But Joe opted out, so there's no issue from that angle imo. Would have liked him to play, but that's his choice and we, and the staff, have to accept it and roll with the green breads and hope for the best. Plenty of bowl teams are in the same situation.

Just glad Heupel lives in the real world and he realizes it, as he alluded to in his presser.

i don’t really enjoy theme parks…. too expensive….. lines are too long…. the weather…. The one time i did enjoy it…. we went to six flags on a monday and it came a huge storm right before it opened…. We were in that theme park practically by ourselves…. we would ride a roller coaster and tell the guy that we wanted to stay on…. it was amazing!!!!

I don’t really like theme parks. Had an awful experience my senior year of high school when we had a school trip to Six Flags. It rained. We stood in the rain for an hour waiting on some band I didn’t really like. They came out and played one song we had never heard then had to call it off because of lightning. They closed most of the rides because of it also. Then one girl followed us around ready to fight because her sister’s boyfriend happened to be with the group of us. Horrible disappointment! Lake Winnie is the hottest place on earth especially when the kids are wanting to do different things. Dollywood is fun though.

Phil Parker runs a really good scheme up there at Iowa. He’s saved them from being a 5-7 program over the years. He’s put a lot of players in the league off of his defense and he’s respected across the country for good reason. We’ll have work cut out for us but I think this renewed energy with a capable quarterback will give UT enough to put up 31 or more in route to a 9-4 season

Why? He can train there while still cheering on the team like HH did last year. Maybe he wants to coach someday.

Heupel will coach to win the game and that more than likely means Milton will play. This board doesn’t like to hear it but he is the better of the two qbs at the moment. In his limited opportunities, Nico looked like a freshman qb. Finishing the season at 9-4 is much better than 8-5 and I would be shocked if Milton doesn’t play significant minutes. His draft status is far from certain and he needs the opportunity just like his decision to play in the Senior Bowl

Large, slow Big 10 players
