Preach it Doug!

Doug mad he never got paid as a college athlete 😅 Lots of salty folks out there like that. Can't just be happy for them 😒

He should be blaming the universities. They won't do the one thing that will fix it all - meanwhile SCOTUS tells them they can't do certain things.

It's on the universities to fix it once and for all. But they've kept their heads buried the last century

I'm mad too.

I'da been perfect for endorsing "Skoal" 😑

Not been to Tahoe yet, but Yosemite is freaking breathtaking...it is one of the most spectacular places on Earth. Don't be lazy, do a lot of research before you go so you know where to go, when and what to do and how to get around....know what to expect.

I had extreme expectations for Yosemite...and it absolutely blew those extreme expectations completely away..here is a small taste..
The last picture you posted. . . if you look closely at the face of that cliff, about 3/4 up, you can see me free climbing it, holding on with one hand and giving the Vols sign.

Some of these are a little odd

"At Kentucky, a coach decided to recruit me by bringing the type of women Kentucky, I guess, has going to their school. He tried to bring women into the equation when trying to recruit me, which I thought was a little weird. At Ohio State, coach Alford also called it 'dating,' as in recruiting me. He wanted to court me and he wanted my parents' permission. I thought it was a little out of the ordinary."
This is what Peyton Lewis had to say

I played all 3 sports growing up...

By far it's harder to hit a baseball than
guys in college, even at walters state throw junk, first pitch for a strike. Pedro Martinez, to me typifies the modern righty. Hard throwing, missiles... all moving. Nastier change. All different arm angles.

Imagine being a lefty and that cutter runs into your hands, high and tight. 95 mph. Next pitch a slider, up and under. 80 mph. lol then that changeup, looking like it's coming toward sweet spot, and bottom drops out.

Nasty.

I'm always amazed how much movement the pros get on their fastballs. I can hit a 90mph fastball decently well at a batting cage, but I'd whiff 100/100 times at a 90mph fastball thrown by the pros. It just dances in the air, it's almost supernatural.

had it on speed dial.

pedro had that 3/4 dip, so ball rose.🤦🏼‍♂️

It was a good SEC day.

Our 4th best team manhandled the 2nd best B1G team... And our 10th best team took the second best ACC team to the wire. Hahahahaha

Other conferences

Could probably argue Mizzou was 3rd best this year after Bama and UGA. Ranked higher than Ole Miss and actually came close to beating UGA on the road whereas Ole Miss got shellacked by UGA a whole lot worse than we did.

I am always amazed at the people who cannot think beyond just point A to point B.

This is a transition to something different. It will not stay this way.

But I'm sure Division II football will be more attractive now for those who hate players being compensated and free to move around like coaches and college admin staff do.
100%

We're quickly barreling towards contracted employment. Athletes will be like coaches.

Yes, there's freedom and direct compensation. But you're tied to a contract. Break contract if you wish, but either you or the new school will have to pay a pretty premium on the base figure.

Same. But I hate how the NCAA has so much evidence against Harbaugh but won't act on it, so at least some justice will be served.
Yes. Except that Bama is in the playoffs solely as a result of corrupt officiating and is a massively corrupt program built on enforcement exemption and conference manipulation. They should both be on probation.

Forgive us for going through the mourning process of what we have loved for decades dying a painful death. What it transitions to may end up being something wonderful too, but it won’t be what we loved. So we will have to grow to love it. All I ask is to move the transfer portal until after the season.

SCOTUS has already said the old model isn't legal. The current model clearly isn't viable any more than it would be if coaches could move without contracts and at-will.

The pendulum swung past its point and it's the NCAA and unis to blame for not (EASILY) getting ahead of this decades ago. They knew full well it was BS from the start of the tv money crashing in. You can't pay millions to coaches, when the players have been proven to be far more valuable, while handcuffing the players' movement...and think "that's about right" 😒 It was immoral from the get-go.

They did this to themselves.

Mollasses.

They'll act...in about 2032.

Michigan can go ahead and win for all I care. Better than Bama and it'll be washed out (very rightfully so) anyway.

And this won't be one of those meaningless "but everyone was doing it" asterik marks. This one nobody would recognize as legitimate.

Though I'm still 100% for Washington. I suppose Texas next.

Honestly atp I'm just 100% happy UGA is out of it. Ugh

Think the Congresses should get involved, make it law. I have absolute faith that they and NCAA will get it right.
