I agree with this. I know Campbell didn't play today. Did Spraggins? My biggest concern with the OL is lack of quality depth. I was hoping we'd find a portal OG to start opposite Spraggins, but that's starting to look unlikely. And should anyone get hurt, I worry about depth.

Depth is THE issue next year...as it was this year..it seemed like we rarely ever had our best 5 OL on the field this year...and even when they were, they were often nicked up pretty good.

Hopefully we get better luck with injuries next year.

Those players are not employees any more than band members, cheerleaders, academic scholars, etc are. Scholarships are offered to potential students that excel in an area, whether it be the arts, the sciences, or athletics. Just because I pay to go watch a play at Clarence Brown Theatre doesn’t make those drama students employees of the university.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that players put colleges/NCAA under anti-trust laws, and Kavanaugh's attached opinion made it clear that they've opened the door to extending the context of those anti-trust implications.

I'm not sure why people are arguing against that. I haven't been inventing these points or their analogies. They're directly from Kavanaugh and the SCOTUS.

ETA: I'll reiterate. Note the use of "businesses", plural. This isn't an argument about whether a University has to pay student athletes. It's about all the universities conspiring to prevent the possibility. There's nothing wrong with a university fielding a team by simply offering scholarships. But when they all create a system that prevents better than that, then it's a problem.

Kavanaugh specifically spoke to the "band members, etc" argument when he said that no other industry could make such a circular argument to prevent paying (as he phrased it) "workers".

The line played pretty well for having lane, Davis, and Lampley starting…. Some of it was Nico being indecisive as well.

The times Nico got sacked were on 3rd down either the play wasn’t there or he had to tuck it and run. Throwing it away does nothing other then help field position he was gonna get hit regardless on those plays

I just hope Harbaugh doesn't crap his britches in the second half. Have to be prepared for Saban's halftime adjustments. If Michigan effs this up, Harbaugh should be banned from college football for life.
