SIX SEC teams?

No way.

League can't win shiz OOC. Mostly a bunch of has-beens.

"'Cept the Vols. That kid...Nico...is it?..nasty. Not sure anyone can stop them."
I mean there would have been 4 this year without OU and Texas, LSU just missed the cut as well. OM, Texas, Bama and Uga are just about a guarantee imo. I think the vols improve and if we go 10-2 or better we’re in. I think the SEC will stay fairly top heavy but I see the B10 beating each other up a lot with just a few actual good teams

The SEC has legit 8 programs that will be vying for a playoff spot next year. Likely only 4 will make it.

Survival of the fittest.
Yeah, it’s not going to be much easier to make it. Think of all their favorites they want in, and already said it will be who they think is the best team. Pretty much automatic ND, OSU, MI, USC, Oregon, FSU (if any possible way to make it up to them). TX, AL, LSU, GA. So 2 others.

Oregon. UCLA QB transferred there. Lanning is a damn good coach.
Lanning is a good recruiter. Still to be determined IMO how good a coach he is. And they might make it, but they start Big 10 play next year.

Bama, Uga, UT, OU, Texas, Ole Miss, ND, Psu, Osu, UM, James Madison, Oklahoma State are my picks for next years playoff
Do each conference winner get in? Answer is top 6 ranked conf champs get in. Can I first say that’s dumb as hell. The only two conference winners that should be auto bids are SEC and Big Ten at this point.

That said, I’ll have to go: UGA* (12-1), Oregon* (12-1), OSU (11-2), Bama (11-2), Arizona* (12-1), Michigan (10-2), Texas (10-2), FSU*(11-2), Ole Miss (10-2), Vols (10-2), Boise State* (11-2), UTSA* (12-1).

Outside Looking In: Kansas State #2 in Big 12 (11-2), Kansas (10-2), LSU (9-3), Washington (9-3), Clemson #2 ACC (10-3), Notre Dame 9-3 independent, Mizzou (9-3), Penn St (9-3), NCST (9-3), Liberty* (11-2)

Notable teams missing: OU (rough welcome to SEC), USC (rough welcome to big 10)

* denotes conf champ

With the right coach they would dominate
Pete Carrolls usc teams were badass
Right. USC has the most NFL players, NFL pro bowlers, and NFL HOFers all-time. In short, they’ve had the most talent. And many of them played defense.

I think the all offense, no defense thing is true in recent decades, though. Even those Carroll teams played in a Pac 10 that was bad on D.

Won't happen. Smart saw what the NFL did to Saban. Even with all the changes to college football, the NFL is a completely different beast. I don't see Kirby wanting to take that risk.

He also saw Saban land on his feet. I’d go. Try it out. If it don’t work, you replace Saban in 3 years or have your pick of jobs

For anyone that needs it.

January 9, 2024: There is trouble all around you, but you do not have to be affected by what is happening outside of you. You need to settle yourself inside and deal with the issues that directly affect you. This will require walking and living in the Spirit instead of being consumed with flesh issues. Establish yourself in peace, says the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
