Look man, your name has Vol in it... this is Vol Nation, if you've not figured out by now that bias will be expressed towards the Orange and White then you're either an idiot or a troll.

I watch all Vols games in 3 sports, and I rewatch them in 2 sports... everything will be related to the Vols eventually. That's the comparison to come back to.

Officiating sucks ass universally, but when us Vol fans ON A VOL FORUM point it out when it impacts OUR team why are we playing victim, why are we just whining?

It was just for sh*ts and gigs but you right, everyone free to Vol in their own way

That reply was to you, but not for you...if ya catch my drift.

Either way it's BasketVOLS time until Tony V's gang starts wrecking folks. I love college football but this time of year is fun as hell too.

I get that most teams cheat, and I'm not so blind to think sign stealing is new. My thing is if it's common practice then WHY the media run wild with the story for months on end? To build this "redemption" angle?

If you're caught cheating and then win it all that's not redemption, it's validation that winning is the only thing that matters.
I love how UM is trying to get everyone to sympathize with them. Now they are saying they had to cheat to keep pace with OSU. They are becoming more and more of a joke program. They are an illegitimate champ. They are saying everyone is cheating but I highly doubt everyone is doing on their level.

Yeah, but obviously they couldn't find anything to stick to anyone but the dude they rolled as the scapegoat.

It really is possible (I don't believe this in the case of Michigan) that one over zealous assistant was trying to find anyway possible to elevate himself. Happens at big companies all the time. My point is the NCAA, Big 10, and Michigan all let the dragging happen for months and then basically nothing close to punishment happened...so why let the dragging go along that long? And before you say "they don't control the media" that's just straight up ********. Cause all the terrible officiating TN has seen and the complete lack of any sort of commentary on it shows very much that the conference can/do steer what is and isn't put out for story content.
I guess it’s “possible.” But Stallions traveled so much that Harbaugh never asked on gameday, “where is Connor?”

Or, when Stallions has a laminated sheet on the sideline next to a coordinator, no one asked “how did you get that information?”

I’m sure Harbaugh kept his distance, but I don’t think anyone can convince that the staff and Harbaugh didn’t know anything.

I'll admit it. I've watched Michigan football since I was a kid. After living in Detroit for a while, they firmly became my 'second' favorite team but not even close to my Vols. Happy about this Championship and glad 'Ohio State' fans are going to be upset about it. 😁

Though, I plan on moving to Washington state so somewhat conflicted. Maybe in next year's championship game, I'll have someone to root against.

Agreed. The players even knew about the signals in depth too. Maybe they didn’t know the extent of the scouting, but they knew they had a very large detailed sheet, week after week, of stolen signs. The one video that circulated from last years Ohio state game the players on the sideline were watching closely at the opposing sideline as an Ohio state audible was being called and started yelling to the players on the field a split second before Stallions started motioning to the DC about the call. So the coaches including the coordinators knew about it, there were in depth laminated sheets with the calls on it, and the players knew the calls well enough that they didn’t even need the laminated sheet to know what the call was… but I’m supposed to be believe Harbaugh had absolutely no knowledge of this? Yeah, okay, makes sense.

If I had a bunch of liquid funds to throw at the NIL, I would want to have a say in where the money goes. But I would have a hard time giving money to players like mincey. He was worth the investment in 2022, but was not worth any NIL money in 23, jmo.
I am a donating member of the Vol Club.

I would want to do it more like @InVOLuntary suggested and hire the player for advertising purposes. At least then you can choose your players and make it a business expense.

If I were a Tennessee business owner, that’s how I would handle it.

Spyre needs to hit up Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic (KOC) for NIL dollars since they are the official orthopedic group for the Vols. They could easily make that part of their marketing budget…

Heck, any company that is the official anything with UT.

Just my two cents.
Spyre is basically a NIL sports marketing agency. They're the player's agent. Thus, you could/would hire the player for marketing through Spyre, and write it off as a marketing expense.

I suspect NIL has contracts with their athletes so that they can't take marketing business outside of Spyre representation, thus you'd be hard pressed to hire their guys.

Noticed Rece Davis has us unranked but has Iowa 18. Weird.

Couple of things about this:

If they have Iowa ranked above UT, then they should have their right to vote taken away!

Also, if they dont have us ranked at all the must not know college football or must hate us cause they aint us!

The UConn voter must be butt hurt from us stomping them to have us at 22.

Before Rece Davis was pointed out, I thought the Gamecocks voter was the dullard in the pack. At least that was the result of their imagined rivalry with us.

Lol @ Blair Kerkhoff, beat writer for Kansas and Missouri. I bet that's a fun gig.
