Hey but while other programs are making changes, even ones with newer staffs, we don't want to upset our staff or upgrade, we'll just promote within...or better yet, keep who we have and hope that somehow magically they change... kind of like trying to walk through a closed door every day and hoping one day it magically just swings open for you.
Yeah I remember when we got rid of Willie Martinez and John Jancek after 2015 and swung for the fences upgrading with up and coming supertar Bob Shoop!!!!

Johnny Cash, backed by an all-star ensemble of talent, stepped on stage at California State Prison in Folsom on this day in history, Jan. 13, 1968.
It proved one of the most legendary concerts in music lore —

He was joined on stage by wife and fellow country star singer June Carter Cash, rockabilly legend Carl Perkins on guitar, the Statler Brothers on vocals, plus his longtime touring band, the Tennessee Three.

Cash closed the show with "Greystone Chapel," written by Folsom Prison inmate Glen Sherley.

The performer discovered the song the night before the concert.

"I got to the motel and a preacher friend of mine brought me a tape of a song called ‘Greystone Chapel,’" Cash told Life magazine in 1994.

Carl Perkins later told me that it was one of the greatest experiences of his legendary career.

personally i would've stayed at Washington. Really an up and coming program. Bama is not a plug and play championship anymore. Living in Saban's shadow is going to be silly.

Stay and make road trips to Piscataway, NJ; Iowa City, IA; Bloomington, IN; and University Park, PA this next year? Short hop, skip and jumps from Seattle, WA.

The trip to Rutgers is over 2800 miles.

Bama does travel to Wisconsin (870 miles); Oklahoma (710 miles); LSU (348 miles); Vandy (247 miles); and UT (314 miles). Total mileage to away games = 2489 miles.

Even the trip from Seattle to Penn State is over 2600 miles.

UW 2025 away games include those at Maryland, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

It’s tough to play on the road. Even tougher when travel times are 2-3 times longer.

Now to play the devil’s advocate - he is giving up colder weather (I know, he is from SD) and all those airline mileage points. 🤣

I still cannot believe the risk Bama just took with this hire. It could work, but no ties to south and poor recruiting. Very fascinated.
Just about anyone they hired would be considered a downgrade to Saban. But Saban's success will help DeBoer the next couple of years in recruiting as kids still see Bama as a power. If Deboer can keep the roster somewhat intact, this will easily be the most talent he's ever had to work with. The question mark is what can he do with it?

i don’t know if being seen as a power matters as much during the NIL era….. I hope a lot of players leave so he struggles out of the gate.

His case is built on Higher impact plays….. I hate PFF….. so idiotic.

I mean say you want about PFF but it’s not a terrible argument by default. They’re basically just saying that Watt’s case is made on the big plays that everybody notices (sacks), but if you track every play the other guys catch up by doing other stuff (pressures). Parsons had 70 pressures in 513 rushes, compared to Watt’s 47/551.

Still find it hard to believe that’s actually true in Watt’s case, but I wouldn’t call this “torturing the data until it confesses” either.

@Smyrna ATL Vol

You asked about some golf trips.........

Besides the obvious ones that everyone knows about..........I have two that are at the top of my "hidden gems" list. You would not be disappointed.

1. Whitefish, Montana (4-5 really fun courses)
2. Arcadia Bluffs in Michigan (top 5 I've ever played and several other really good ones near by)

If you want some closer...........let me know.

Dude Auburn is a dumpster fire. Anyone that cannot see it yet will in about 6 months.
Ole Miss and Auburn are both going to be teams to watch going forward.
Ole Miss for the let’s hire mercenaries and Auburn for the let’s throw our staff under the bus and see who leaves coaching moves.
Which method blows up first😳😂
