I think Bradshaw said they had played a pretty weak schedule so far.. best win vs Arky who is like 9-6? Doesn’t matter.. I know it’s hard to win on the road, but the expectations for this team are win the SEC and an Elite8/Final 4 appearance and right now, I don’t feel like that’s realistic. Hope they turn it around

I agree with you. Their schedule has been pretty meh, but always tough to win on the road in conference play.

Wake Forest was a better win. FSU is ok.

So which team realistically has a shot then? Every other team in the country looks flawed too.

I don’t worry bout other teams, just what the Vols look like. Again I’m not saying we don’t have a chance. But this team as of now, needs to improve quite a bit to have a chance.

Expecting this team to get to the Final 4 is gonna lead to pain. Just let this team grow and root for the best. They clearly have that type of ceiling. But it takes some lucky breaks along the way too. Basketballs full of ups and downs.

I would love to get to the top as well. We are positioned to do that as well as anybody in the country. Many many programs would gladly trade places with us.

Being irrelevant is a million times worse than coming up short in March.

Uconn, as of this point last year, had just come off losing 6 of its previous 7 games.

And went on to win the whole damn thing.

All that matters in this sport is keeping your head above water (to make the big dance) while progressing.

But I'd say we're doing damn well regardless. On neutral courts we don't lose to Miss St or UNC.

UNC is playing better than UT lately.

Will they be, on a neutral court? That's anyone's guess. We're TWO MONTHS AWAY lol. But that's where each team aims to be. Thay's the goal, to progress. UNC lost to uconn and uk after us. Nobody is "there" yet.

We likely beat them on a neutral court back in Dec. And at TBA it wouldn't have been close.

HCA skews things. But everything is decided in March on neutral courts, which is what matters

I'd expect nothing less than for UT's basketball team to be undefeated in your fantasies, but unfortunately we're stuck with reality. UT isn't playing particularly well right now, and I don't see the pieces in place for their inside game to dramatically improve before tournament time. That's what they need.
