True. My main point is that I'd think at least JJJ at this point would be a 15 point a game scorer. I believe he is that talented. But, it just doesn't seem that it's in his nature in terms of aggression.

Don’t think he has the skillset for it. He’s not quick or smooth enough with the ball to regularly beat guys off the dribble and his jumper’s not consistent enough.

JJJ isn’t a 3 ball shooter and won’t be expected to hit those shots if he makes it in the NBA.JJJ coming back to play was a draft favor by Barnes to get is percentages up because coming out of the draft tryouts last year they told him his shooting needed to improve to better his draft stock.Barnes needs to play him to his strengths instead of trying to fix what he will never be.

JJJ would flourish in a Admiral Schofield role.he rebounds well for his size and his midrange is automatic..him being out on the wing is strictly for draft tape and it hurts us in the long run down the stretch.

Admiral hit 39.5% from deep his Junior year then 41.8% his Senior year, shooting over 165 attempts in both. Admiral was a 3 ball shooter though and basically a 3 (wing)...so that's a bad comparison if you're saying JJJ shouldn't be a wing player.

JJJ this year is playing the 4 basically, so if you're saying he's now in the right spot to play to his strengths then I'd agree. He just wasn't able to come in and play that role from the beginning with Turner going down it shifted where we needed JJJ to play because neither Santi or Bowden were very good options at the point. Pons at the 4 spot the first 2 seasons also forced JJJ to play a 3 spot and be more of a wing guy.

I do think he's a better Draymond type player than a spot up 3 ball guy.

I rather see Josiah have 8/7/5 and 3 steals than 15 points and 4 rebounds..

Josiah is a stat sheet stuff and a very good defender..

Vescovi just wants to win, whether he sores 30 points or 3 it really doesn't matter to him as long as Tennessee wins..

He is a guy that can guard 1-4 really well and at the 5 if you need emergency minutes because of foul trouble. He is a high level passer and defender. All elite teams have one of these guys.

Tough discussion honestly..hypocritical anyway you go but I’ll always stand my ground and say my peace for Pete rose being in the HOF…it was non baseball (performance) related and he never bet on his team or against them.

That we know of. He did bet on his own team. That means he pulls out all the stops to win that game and maybe compromises the remaining games in that series. Absolutely no way he should be there. I personally think Shoeless Joe is one of the top 3 hitters of all time and one of my favorite players. He should not be in the HOF either.

Honestly DK has filled the Admiral role...those two are better comparisons. DK just didn't get 3+ years of SEC S&C to get to 240lbs of muscle (and honestly I don't think DK would ever carry that much weight anyway).

JJJ was a combo guard coming outta HS, but he's the best example of "best player on team gets the ball in hands" in hindsight it's easy to say he should have been coming in to try and fill/play the Grant role. That first season we were heavy in Forwards on the roster though and there simply weren't any minutes to play him and you don't want to keep a 5 star swiss arm knife with his size and talent on the bench. So he was playing a lot of point and a lot of the 3...
