All I know is I hate thieves..but as long as there is breath there is hope...you are not a normal example of a thief, most thieves are evil sociopaths that don't have a conscience, and don't give a damn who they hurt.I'd like to offer another perspective. I grew up poor. My mom did her very best but we struggled financially for most of my childhood. She was still a great mom and I love her even more now than I did when she was living. I digress. She taught me right from wrong. Very clearly. I decided to start stealing to get some stuff I wanted. Sometimes from her but often from stores. I got caught when I was 12. Shoplifting at Kroger. I was given a break. Kroger was cracking down at the time. The manager knew my mom and gave me a break. I had to listen to him tell my mom over the phone. I have not stolen since. Maybe someone who stole from you needed a similar wakeup call. Idk. I don't like thieves, either and I have been stolen from in the Army and later when I returned home. It's a terrible thing to do. I have rambled long here and I'm not sure what my point is. Just wanted to make you aware that good people still do make bad decisions. I hope those who stole from you got a wakeup call like I did
You were a kid...a real kid...I don't think whoever stole my bikes was a kid...I knew every kid within miles of my house, and several of my friends also had Mongooses stolen in the same period.
My guess is scumbag thieves going around spotting them and pawning them off.
