@InVOLuntary will try anything. No wonder he is the way he is. Too many concussions.

Although I do think we will win, South Carolina could present some trouble for us.
Could maybe, because Mack could give Aidoo some trouble, but look at last night they went 11/24 from 3.... the odds they do that again are pretty low. Same thing for UGA's performance against us a couple weeks ago they went nuclear from 3.

Not telling your players you may leave is the same thing to me. It’s all good if y’all don’t agree. Wasn’t looking to engage in an argument about it. Don’t think any of it is a big deal
It would be the same if CJH was offered the TN job prior to signing day and then told all the UCF recruits he was staying at UCF. Then he left UCF after signing day. Then you could say CJH lied to the players. Not even close to Saban's situation.

I don't buy it...I think he waited until all the players were in and left.
The date was way too convenient.

Besides that, he has grown more and more frustrated the last 2-3 years with losing control. Control of coaches leaving, control of being able to buy and keep the most talent, control of the field after an away loss 🤣, ….just loss of control. Every time I saw an interview I would think he is going to retire. But he’s telling the world he was not.

CJH. Fulmer never coached at UCF.

It’s the same thing to me. And neither situation is a big deal
The amount of AL players in the portal say it is a big deal. The amount that are giving the new coach a trial through spring also think so.

More importantly, imagine what those players could have demanded at the beginning of the portal instead of at the end.

Someone explained that the end zone is territory of the defense. So you can rush into or complete a pass into that territory. You get points for that. But you cannot lose control of the ball into that territory. You can lose the ball on the field because that’s no one’s territory. That makes sense to me now that I thought of it that way.

So you think 1 or 2 in portal?
3 or 4 recruits? More?
It'll depend on the numbers we have to work with, and who enters the portal. We rotate the DL to stay fresh, and we'll lose a lot of that rotation after next season. They'll look for experienced bodies in the portal while expecting guys on the roster to also step up. IF they see guys in the portal they like, I could see 2-3. And yeah, I think 3-4 recruits, if they can get the guys they want.

Yeah it’s a big deal he retired. Dude is a legend in CFB. I just don’t think it’s a big deal that he didn’t know or didn’t tell players before hand. A coach the caliber of Saban (there isn’t another one right now) retiring + the new transfer rules + NIL = mass exodus of players.
