i wonder if it it was bc he didn’t have faith in his kicker…. Badgley was signed off the practice squad after they cut Riley Patterson when he blew an extra point against the Bears… Badgley did hit a 51 yarder against the Rams but that was at home in a dome… San Francisco is entirely different and one of the more difficult places to kick.

I would argue that he fully trusts his guys to make plays. They #1 way to earn your players respect is for you as a coach to show your players that you fully trust them to make plays in the tough situations. Maybe his biggest flaw is that he trusts his players too much. In my opinion Dan Campbell is one of the best coaches in the NFL.

I love him stacking 5* and 4* Quarterbacks but I don't think they all stay.

Odd man out to me is Merklinger sandwiched between the 5* Quarterbacks, he didn't commit to Tennessee to be Nico's and GM water boy.he will want to play eventually..

Other than refs making certain calls, its preposterous to assert the entire season is scripted. There's ZERO evidence and as an actor myself, I can tell you these football players aren't "acting" impossible they're all that good at it and have been for decades. Then they have to keep the charade going for the rest of their lives.

Why would the NFL need to script anything? Does the NFL need that to make it entertaining? Is Pat Mahomes not the best player in the league? Why wouldn't his team, with those players on it dominate year after year? Why would the players care to work that hard if they know what's going to happen?

The NFL randomly decided that the Chiefs would get Pat Mahomes so they could be the new dynasty? They said "ah yes Mahomes of 6-6 Texas Tech will make us the maximum amount of money!"

Or is the scripting way more subtle? But then when is it scripted? Do only some players and coaches know?

There's just no way to substantiate any claim to it being rigged unless you just choose to BELIEVE it's all rigged. Sorry, I'd rather there be a SINGLE fact out there to prove it and there are ZERO facts to suggest it's rigged. None.

I don't think it is scripted...I do 100% believe "manipulation" happens.

I 100% believe that the SECorrupt and the bigwigs of other conferences outright cheat for their golden chosen few.

Idk if anyone has answered yet. But we went to scout another player actually. He caught the eye of the assistant but never made much of it until he hit portal. Then he assistant told CRB DK is someone he might want to go after.

Take the FG in 3rd Quarter and kick-off. Not saying comeback doesn't happen but Nick Bosa said momentum turned on that 4th down failure by Lions ..

Agree. Sometimes common sense needs to prevail or you go home earlly. Yesterday was a perfect example.

The analytics were based on a body of work - 17 games of the body of work were during the regular season plus the early playoff games. Early season results are included before many teams gel. When you arrive at the NFCCG, you need to use football smarts and have a feel for the situation. Theoretically the two best or hottest teams have arrived in a highly charged moment in time. The players are more intense and giving everything they have on every play while playing without thinking, which is unlike some of the regular season. Mistakes and incompetencies are magnified.

It being legal though is the best defense against any widespread gambling ring. These billion dollar companies all share betting info with gaming commissions and they would be the first ones to notice any type of suspicious activity and investigate.

We need a 1 year rental in the portal IMO, who has experience. Someone who maybe wants to get into coaching so they get a jump start under CJH. It would help fill the gap, and would be some insurance if Nico gets hurt.

I use to not believe that. In the last few years my thinking on that has definitely changed. You know the NFL wanted the Chiefs and Taylor Swift to be in the news cycle for the next few weeks. Also all the no calls Bama and Georgia get during games is really pathetic. They don’t need extra help but seem to receive it most games.

That catch Jennings made in the 3rd quarter down 24-7 reminds me of the 2016 3rd quarter catch vs Florida. Down 21-3 in that game early in 3rd. That catch imo ignited our offense that day.

I said last night that his catch had seemed to ignite some fight in the 49ers.

It’s one thing to go for it on 4th and 2 during week 13 vs probably one of the many podunk mid NFL teams.

It’s another thing altogether to go for it in the NFC Championship vs the #1 ranked team at their house….

You already acknowledged a three score lead was important when you kicked the field goal before the half, on 4th and goal from the 2.

What changed mid third quarter after they cut into the lead. Kick the field goal and put them back behind three scores.

A chance at the Super Bowl was right there. Lions coach blew it.

What blew it was going away from the run game. Both of the first 2 drives of the second half were stalled because they started passing when the were gashing the 49ers for 8-9 yards per rush. Up by 14 you should run the ball until they stop you. Also Gibbs fumble sealed the game right after those 2 drives
