Once hit a 6 iron from 100 yards (knocked down) at Fripp Island, SC while in college. Hole or two later, hit a wedge from 180.I played in a tournament back in the late 90’s in the Dallas area. Think it was ‘98 after a long drought and scorching 100+ degree temperatures. The day of the tournament the weather changed. A fine mist periodically, but super strong winds. I blistered a drive dead into the wind and was 50 yards farther than the other 3 in my group. 145 yards to a front pin. I smoked a 4 iron dead into the wind and came up 5 yard short of the hole but still on the green. Birdied it. That was the strongest wind I have ever played in. To put things in context, I hit a 4 iron 190-200 yards back then but only got 140 out of it. Not a miss hit. Old age has since taken a toll on my distances.
Dude, troll boy had no idea what he was talking about, and he changed his story with every post. What troll boy said was repeatedly shown to be untrue, however many times he moved the goal posts. If a troll concludes with pretensions to be a "truth warrior," you would do better not to hop aboard and dignify the typical refuge of a scoundrel and a bore. The only unifying thread is his garbage was vain and deliberate antagonism. Not directed specifically at you, but in response to every "...defending rival X" comment:
Seeking clarity and truth is not the same thing as desiring to defend a rival. As a matter of fact, pushing an agenda that been shown to be untrue is a far worse look than clarifying for the sake of truth.
I'm not sure how you do it. It could be similar. How does it separate the universities from continuing to control things? It sounds like just a new division of the NCAA similar to how they have a D1, D2, D3 NCAA body. This would be like a D1 football NCAA body?
Though I could imagine a few positives, the overarching issues would seem untouched.
Just curious. Love new ideas.
No, he's not.Welp, he's right there.
Full of crap and the fans are paying. The unis and ncaa need to get right with jesus.
