The issue is the NCAA is corrupt and turns a blind eye to favorites while going after the favorite's rivals. NIL cancelled the NCAA's ability to do that. It took away the corrupt advantage of the universally-known yet un-investigated bag games at places like Bama and UGA. Everyone could pay legallly. It leveled the playing field. That is the real objection.I dunno why all the huff and puff by the NCAA about NIL, the NIL era started super strong with kids getting offered Millions. Then the companies/collectives involved realized this wasn’t sustainable and the NIL market essentially fixed itself, where kids aren’t getting anywhere close to a million “unless they are extremely coveted”, yet the NCAA is freaking out because of how badly they have tried to handle the situation.
I wouldn't say a peep if everyone was treated the same. Picking and choosing who and what to enforce is a sham. The issue is the NCAA is corrupt and turns a blind eye to favorites while going after the favorite's rivals. The media and NCAA act like Nico is the only recruit getting NIL as a recruit. Quinn Ewers got a million as a high school kid. Missouri kids getting money Senior year with laws passed allowing it. Seaton was rumored to be going to whoever’s NIL was the most at the time. I think the TRO will be upheld for sureI wouldn't say a peep if everyone was treated the same.
