Q: On how it felt to throw that pass:

“That feels awesome. It felt like I was back at the University of Tennessee throwing to Josh Dobbs. To make that play, I just think about my quarterback coach from high school. I know he’s so proud right now and man, I thought we were gonna win.”

On the pain he’s feeling:

“How much does it hurt? Man, anybody got a nail he can step on? Probably about that much.”

Q: Can you talk a little bit about Jauan Jennings? A touchdown pass to you, a touchdown reception himself, the second guy to ever do that in a Super Bowl. Just his talent to do so many different things?

“Yeah, he’s unbelievable, man. He’s extremely gifted, but he plays with so much heart. You see it in the run game, in the way he finishes plays. I’m just lucky I get to play with him.”

JJ isn’t the star of a team and probably never will be. But he’s the type of guy that helps win championships and elevates other players on the team

I’ll never forget the tackle he made as a FR in the swamp on kickoff coverage. Dude just plays with so much fire

Their meeting was a cute story, he has a nice family and I rooted for them, but that was definitely a red flag. All these kids saw him act like that toward an older man who is close to retirement or may retire. Yuck.

Trey will likely get a few more rings before he’s finished with Mahomes and the Chiefs, JJ unlikely to get this chance again.

If he stays with the Niners, JJ will have more shots. That offense is loaded with weapons.

Seeing JJ get a ring would have been awesome. I really hope he gets one at some point. I wish the Chiefs had been this successful when Eric Berry was there. I always hoped he'd get a ring, too. Congratulations to Trey on ring number two. Good chance he gets more rings before his career is over. Always awesome to see VFLs do well in the SB and win rings. Proud of JJ for his performance. He is All-Vol!
