First of all…My Guy! this is the 4x100 I’ve already lapped you.I just decided to come Back around for the relay handoff a second time.you definitely earned yourself the game ball though for being the best 6th man there ever was

That win was a very aptly described as a “miracle.” I don’t think even contemporary viewers realized how monumental of an upset that was.

To win the Challenge Cup they beat the NHL All Stars 6-0 who had 20 future Hall of Famers

It’s hard to compare to football.

But the US team was a collection of mostly college players from a second-tier hockey nation, and they beat a team that probably would have won several Stanley Cups if they had competed in the NHL. That Russian team bested the NHL All-Stars in a best of 3 series the year prior.

So, similar to a good G5 school beating the Super Bowl champ? , I'm trying to wrap my head around how much of an upset it was in a way I can fathom.

So, similar to a good G5 school beating the Super Bowl champ? , I'm trying to wrap my head around how much of an upset it was in a way I can fathom.

More like a college baseball All-Star team and the upcoming Dodgers squad, in terms of talent disparity.

I don’t think football is a good comparison because the physicality gap between an NFL team and a G5 squad is just completely unbridgeable in a way that doesn’t really exist in hockey or a lot of other sports.

Hyperbole to express my admiration. Been to the Tetons. Shoot, I’ve been in them for 3 days. Both absolutely awe inspiring, God fearing beauty. But Glacier gets the nod. FWIW I’d rather visit GT and YS more regularly. My favorite place.
