Did your dad play with a Lester Simmerville?
Maybe, I don't know. He was there 57 to 60 then was in the air force for 10 years. I wish he was here to ask him, he passed in 95 from pancreatic cancer. I remember he used to talk about Steve Sloan, I think that was his name, I don't really know.

Has anyone seen Pat Adams today or saw who the officials are for tonight's game?

*With the court ruling yesterday, an 8:00 ESPN primetime tip, a sell-out crowd, checker TBA, and Barnes going for win 800, my BVS is tingling. I can see Adams getting assigned to this game. 🙄
Should I start a basketball game thread?

Like any ski destination, it’s honestly sort of what you make of it. You can go there, live it up, and spend all you want at places like St Regis, Montage or Stein Erickson but we rent a condo with other families and it’s priced equal to most average ski accommodations. Usually stay near snow park lodge which is where the picture referenced is from. Highly convenient and we can drop kids off at ski school there and take the lift up mountain.

Lift tickets have gone up everywhere during Covid but I get Ikon every year which allows 7 days and pays for itself after a few days at DV alone. We just like how DV has uncrowded options for entire family, regardless of ski ability.

Aspen lodging, flights and dining have become extremely expensive. Haven’t been in a few years but I was taken back last visit. Special place but the LA and NY crowds have ruined aspects of it.

Steamboat is a great place for quality at a reasonable price. I stay away from Summit Co due to crowds.
Thanks!

I was going to go for a conference, but waited too late to stay at the conference. I’ll look harder for more reasonable accommodations there. All I found was Aspen level crazy prices.

Snowmass is Ikon. Next to Aspen, but with reasonable rates for food and lodging. Really enjoyed it there last year.

Just did Big Sky (also Ikon) great place too.
Steamboat prices have gone up quite a bit. It’s my kids favorite place to go.

My wife finally understands my snow skiing obsession. She is learning that I am going to find a way to go skiing at least twice a year, but I want 3+ times. The rest of the year, I am happy to go/do whatever trip that she is interested in doing.

I’m going to offer a trip to New Zealand to ski for my son’s college graduation present. It’s on both our bucket lists. Maybe it will light a fire in him to make some progress in college. He’s having more fun than school if you know what I mean. 😎
