There is also, more importantly, an epidemic of idiot people who are TERRIBLE at raising dogs.
I actually believe it should be mandatory for people to at least watch the dog whisperer. So many peoples dogs are violent or just super f'n annoying because they get zero discipline.
Like you go to someone's house and the dogs are jumping all over you the whole damn time, like you can't even sit down without them all up in your face and the owners just kinda sit there and let it happen.
Went over to a friend's house once and their dog was furious with my presence because they had conditioned her to go into mama bear mode at the sight of a stranger. It bit me and their dumba** owner picked her up and starting LOVING on her. Um HELLO!? You are affirming it's violent behavior you f'n fool. Way to reward your mutt for biting an innocent stranger!
Gotta be the pack leader if you want dogs!
Frisco ordinance doesn’t require euthanasia unless it isn’t current on vaccinations and/or it’s a repeat offense. The further it got from the incident, the less willing my wife became to press the issue. I wanted to lead with ending the animal then medical expenses then whatever figure to keep it out of civil court. She didn’t want it…so I backed down. The lady said she was having a blood pressure issue and her six year old daughter mistakenly left the door open. Wife was also influenced by those kids in the pic. It wasn’t aggressive with them and they easily rounded it up. We’re both dog people but her heart bleeds more profusely than mine. I could have clubbed it and slept like a baby. Something about seeing your loved one’s wounds. What makes me so mad about this is you can easily tell your dog is old which makes it harder for it to defend itself not even factoring in the size difference…that dog just picked on another dog he knew he had the upper hand on…that’s a deep deep cut..convincing anyone to put down (what looks like a golden retriever) will be difficult.he definitely should be required to wear something going forward since he has a history of attacking…F*** that dog man I hope yours recovers nicely
Homeowners insurance will pay for the medical bills. Should also pay for pain and suffering. My friends dog bit a little girls earlobe they paid her an extra 10k and that was 30 years ago. And the dog was just playing not a bad dog at all just playful. They got a citation from Animal Control and it gets quarantined for 10 days. They’re handling all medical bills. Got off way lighter than where my floor was…wife’s a softball fan.
@Weezer don’t begrudge an older Volunteer some enjoyment in life.
I spent many many years in deep debt to achieve my dream of becoming a physician. My wife and I paid off all our student loans while living on a very strict budget. My student loans covered med school, but my Mom took out a home equity loan so that I could eat and have a place to stay. We paid that off first and foremost! 3rd and 4th year of med school, my food budget was $20 per week. Thankfully, most of the hospitals would feed the students at least once per day.
I know that you are joking.
Hardship definitely makes me appreciate how lucky I am.
Good morning from St. Lucia.

Yet. . . Once a dog displays unprovoked aggression, the owner is taking a big risk that something similar or worse won't happen again.Frisco ordinance doesn’t require euthanasia unless it isn’t current on vaccinations and/or it’s a repeat offense. “Lobbying” in my opinion is way worse than collegiate inducements. Wanna know what that money is spent on? Lavish trips, expensive dinners, “gifts” (wink, wink), and attorneys. The NCAA and P5 conferences are said to have spent more than $5,250,000 in the past two years on lobbying Washington, and spending is rising this year.
I'm trying to figure out how they do that. Do they spend money and in-kind payments on government officials before the officials commit to their bill? Do they wait until the officials' votes are officially enrolled before they discuss any possible benefits to the government officials? I mean, are there inducements involved?
I hope they don't buy them lavish dinners; that might be worse than leaving a cookie or balloon in their hotel room.

NCAA president says Congress must act to preserve sports at colleges that can't pay athletes
NCAA President Charlie Baker says action by Congress was needed to protect what he described as the “95 percent” of athletes whose ability to play college sports would be endangered by a court ruling or regulatory decision declaring them as employees o...abcnews.go.com
I would also like to know whether the NCAA discussed money, perks, and benefits with their President Charlie Baker when they were recruiting him. Or whether Baker signed his contract first -- and after that was informed what his deal would be.
They have never felt like SEC schools, even at their highest levels in the 2 biggest sports. (When Arkansas b-ball had Nolan Richardson and South Carolina had Steve Spurrier.)Agreed, ones a acc school and the other would be a great fit for the new big 12. They bring nothing to the conference, never have.
Absolutely, conferences used to be regional and still should be. Money and expansion have screwed up college sports. I know it won't happen, but if a realignment back to regional conferences would happen then rewarding conference champions in playoff seeding and automatic bids would make more sense. They have never felt like SEC schools, even at their highest levels in the 2 biggest sports. *Tejas, Oklahoma, Texas a&m are Big 12 teams and Mizzu should be in the Big 10/Big 12. Traditional conferences have been butchered over money. That's sad
