Bro it's nearly March and you still don't know why Dalton Knecht went unrecruited, played JuCo, then transferred to Northern Colorado, then became a star? This is the most hype our basketball program has seen since Scotty hopson and jarnell stokes…I could see something being done for him..but I’ve been curious about who the heck fell asleep on the scouting tape…why did we not recruit him hereI’d love to hear that back story…maybe he was too small coming out of high school or something ?
He grew from like 6'2 to 6'6 during college. He also works Kobe level hard and has gotten better as a result. He shoots like 4500 shots a day or something ridiculous.

"Why did we not recruit him here?" Well, he's from a suburb of Denver. He was 5'8" his sophomore year and graduated high school around 6'1". He was not rated as a high school prospect. He didn't even have a recruiting profile after 2 years at JuCo in BFE Colorado. He was nobody. Colorado State and Colorado, right in his back yard, had no idea who he was at that time. Between high school and arriving at JuCo he grew 2 inches. In two years at JuCo he grew another 3 inches. Now 6'6" he averaged 23.9pts as a sophomore.
After graduating JuCo he committed to Northern Colorado a little bit down the road but also the middle of nowhere. Probably the only place he could get the connections to take him. He didn't play much and only averaged 8.9pts his junior year. Last year is when he started blowing up. Averaged 20pts and was known as a sharpshooter and scorer.
As a transfer candidate, he's what we needed. A scorer. Someone that could get us a bucket and give us another 15pts a game. You don't expect someone averaging 20pts in the Big Sky to be better than that in one of the P6 conferences.
He's just still getting better and better. Nobody could have predicted this but Dalton himself. Nobody could have looked at him in high school and predicted this, even if he had gone to a Knoxville school.

Prayers for you! I know this must be tough, but keep the faith.Guys I’m gonna kinda open up a bit here. Last April I suffered a supposed concussion. And I really haven’t been the same since. In July I started seeing static in my vision and ultimately it seems like I’ve developed something called Visual Snow Syndrome. There are no definitive treatments for it at this time. It’s been kinda hell living with it and trying to adapt to it. It’s exhausting. I won’t go into much more detail at what I have to put up with every day, but wonky visuals, no energy, and daily migraines are just the surface of it.
I just ask for prayers. In surviving but I miss living.
Praying as once had Lymes for 8 months and long term pain will make all of us "open up a bit". A Hope and a Future are promised. Jeremiah 29:11-13Guys I’m gonna kinda open up a bit here.
