Really no reason or need to be complaining about Barnes right now or recruiting or what we need to do next or anything. Just save it and be happy for once if you aren't. We made the Elite 8. We were the only 2 seed to make it this far. We had an incredible season. We had a great tournament. We fought adversity to get here (exhausted at the end of the season, poor shooting vs Texas, Vescovi sick vs Purdue and Creighton). Best season in school history imo (SEC title and E8). Barnes and this staff have given us great years and great basketball and that's going to carry this program a long time as the new expectation and standard.

Sometimes you get a bad draw and the short stick in the tournament and sometimes you run into a team that really nobody has been able to figure out.

2023-2024 Vols are probably the best team in school history and I'm just thankful I got to watch them play. Thankful for Knecht and the season he put together and thankful for the incredibly successful careers of Vescovi and JJJ. End of a chapter, not the end of the book. Go Vols.

We played Purdue twice this year and lost by a total of 10 points.

Purdue shot 81 free throws total between the 2 games.

Some teams don't shoot that many in 10 games. I guess Purdue is fortunate.

I don’t think people remember what TN basketball was like before Barnes. I hope to have him a couple more years and he leaves when he is ready on his own terms.

Fun season. Doubt we’ll ever have a Barnes team that talented again.

We’ll still be a solid top 15-20 team next season, but this team felt like it was our best shot. And we almost got there.

The portal will be critical for how much drop off we have going into next season. The drop off from 18-19 to 19-20 was significant.

Yup I'm done. They wanted UConn and Purdue all year. And barring a miracle that's what they're gonna get.

I really, really, really hate UConn and most of it is because that is where Geno Auriemma coaches, plus their men's team has won too much over the last 20 years. But I will root for UConn if it comes to it because I don't want that Edey goon and his skinny, punk guards to be able to celebrate.
