I honestly think there is a hidden injury or something else physical with him.I feel for Santi...he completely lost his shooting ability when he and the team needed it the most...I can't remember ever seeing a guy go from being a really good shooter to a absolute brick mason in one year like he did.
It had to be in his head...like the yips in golf.
And...yet...we were a crooked ref crew away from the F4.Z not good enough , JJJ disappearing, getting nothing from our interior. But it’s been like this all year when we lose.
We’re just not consistently good enough offensively to be a FF/NC team.
It happened with Lofton and a lot of people were complaining. Then after the season we found out he had cancer after the season. That’s why it’s hard for me to complain about a guy that loses it for a season.I have NEVER seen it happen to a young person before...mostly to shooters in their late 30s from wear and tear.
Between the music city bowl and the last three meetings against them in bball, the refs have played a significant part in all four. It’s beyond old.Yep...I have grown an intense hatred for them thanks the their puppets screwing us over twice the year and twice now in the Dance.
I hope whoever plays them not only whips them...but completely embarrasses them.
This would be the only time I would ever pull for Bama to win anything.
Yeah, they had to be literally exhausted from the turnaround alone.I don't know if it mattered much...but this was the first time I remember seeing them look gassed other than after that 18 point run against Chreighton...they seemed really tired then too.
At this point sometimes anything can make a difference.
Yes...it's rare I truly hate a team from another conference the way I hate SEC teams...but Purdue is now top 4 with a bullet. I hope they rot when their big stupid mongo turd leaves.Between the music city bowl and the last three meetings against them in bball, the refs have played a significant part in all four. It’s beyond old.
Tough to watch and I feel for him. If I remember correctly, Dane Bradshaw also had a difficult final year shooting.I feel for Santi...he completely lost his shooting ability when he and the team needed it the most...I can't remember ever seeing a guy go from being a really good shooter to a absolute brick mason in one year like he did.
It had to be in his head...like the yips in golf.
I don't remember ever seeing ZZ look so...just not ZZ...you know what I mean?...how quick and strong he literally ALWAYS looks even when he is not shooting well.Yeah, they had to be literally exhausted from the turnaround alone.
Plus, if you remember, we've had problems with early games this year, at least recently. I hoped we'd play after 6pm the rest of the way. Still can't believe they jammed us in at 2pm after making us play til 1am.
The guy is not a winner. He was behind a veteran QB at Penn State that is in the NFL. Levis was pretty good for the Titans with a bad supporting cast and terrible OL, and they've helped both of those groups dramatically while adding an offensive-minded head coach, an actual strength staff, and a lot of people with knowledge of coaching QBs. I think he will be alright
He looked like he just ran up about 2,000 flights of stairs. . . probably felt like it too. He didn't have a break in the S16 game.I don't remember ever seeing ZZ look so...just not ZZ...you know what I mean?...how quick and strong he literally ALWAYS looks even when he is not shooting well.
He looked slower on both ends today.
But with Knecht having the success he had here will make Tennessee more attractive to a scorer. At least I hope so.We have got to find more than one deadly scorer..if RB can somehow do that and still put his usual elite defense out there...I believe it will happen.
Big huge IF though...Knecht is an anomaly...an elite talented scorer that WANTED to work and learn defense.
