Top three missed the playoffs. 2 of the bottom 4 did and have the second and fourth best overall records in baseball. I really hope Seattle knocks Houston out. Would be a great joy to see Houston, NYY, and the Red Sox miss in the same year.

Houston dropped ball by getting swept by of all teams the Royals...big 3 game series starts tonight in Seattle...pulling for the M's.. despise Astros since cheating to beat the Dodgers in WS a few years ago...

Do you all think our pace to snap hurriedness has actually been an advantage this year?

I can think of just a handful of times our rush to the line has resulted in a positive chunk play. It’s almost like we should slow things down. I look at this run and think we are forcing an offense that isn't conducive to him. Run heem. Someone should tell the coaches a guy on VN thinks we should change our offense.

I think Milton needs to keep the ball a lot more on the read. I would also love to see us run the read with RB taking the handoff going to the outside, and Joe having option to keep and run up the middle. Dobbs used to feast on that play.

First half was great. Totally get right half.

Joe got hurt at the end of the second quarter.

Never looked right again and went 1-10 to start the 3rd.

Défense completely different in the second half and they moved the ball way easy.

We forced some late turnovers and scored a couple times to put it away.

Sampson was a dude.

Did we substitute players on defense in the second half due to injuries or just to get younger guys playing time?

Only reason I say that is we have no one to cover Legette. Trust me, I hate the soft zone we play. Maybe Slaughter is healthy now and he could cover him? I don’t think he’s fast enough to cover him.

But if you cover him one and one it should take longer for him to get open. Making a chance at getting the quarterback even better. Plus with another receiver out for Carolina you can rotate that safety over towards Legette a little more freely. We can’t let them run on us. Stuff the run and get max pressure on Rattler make him throw it, that is why I would play man if we make him throw it sooner than he wants it is easier for db’s to cover and he has to make a perfect throw. We can’t give him time but we can’t play soft zone while doing it. If we get pressure it makes it harder to beat us over the top, and if our front is getting pressure our secondary should be playing fairly tight. We need to try and be dictating as much as possible instead of getting dictated too. We need to win the LOS on both sides. GBO
