I must have missed something...why do we not like Jaylen Wright anymore...because Sampson had a really good game against a scrub?

He still completely sucks at pass pro...which is not a throw away problem.

Small and Wright both aren't that much better really.

I'm fine with Wright, but Sampson is way more dynamic with the ball in his hands. He needs at least as many touches as Wright. Get Dylan in space and he does more than anyone we have.

I’ve done a lot of thinking. The Notre Dame having 10 men on the field 2 plays in a row coming out of a timeout thing is a fireable offense.

Rattler is very good, but I want to put one thing in perspective. If we are judging how he played against GA this year, they only have 5 sacks in 4 games. My Dawg friends are very worried about their lack of pass rush. They have elite DB's but are not getting after the QB this year. They have played UT Martin, Ball State and UAB. Our db's are not as good as GA, but our ability to sack the QB is way better. We have 16 sacks in 4 games against better competition than GA has faced.

Good post. That DL they are worried about got 3 sacks on that terrible OL. Also, USCjr gave up 4 sacks to Miss State, who is now tied for 42nd in the nation at 10 sacks. They only had 6 before USCjr, so about 2.0 sacks/game before and 2.5 sacks/game after USCjr game. We are averaging 4.0 sacks/game.

I can think of just a handful of times our rush to the line has resulted in a positive chunk play. It’s almost like we should slow things down. I look at this run and think we are forcing an offense that isn't conducive to him. Run heem. Someone should tell the coaches a guy on VN thinks we should change our offense.

On another note, I am certainly not a rules expert but that looks an awful lot like holding to me.

The Scar game looks like a real 50/50 game to me. Rattler is playing at a very high level and our secondary is bad. His OL is bad and our DL can get after him. Rattler is used to playing under pressure though.

I think it will come down to the final possession and would be very surprised to see us cover the 11 to 13 points we’ve been favored by. Just seems like too much to give up. Hope I’m wrong.
