So Kim Caldwell has a clause in her contract that if the LV's win the natty she gets the highest salary for a HC in WBB. It appears that is true based on reports.

Nope. I cannot imagine a situation where the hire and strong NIL funds are not tied together. All it takes is a handful of big bucks folks to write checks.

Gonna be important for her to make inroads with the right folks. If she can carry herself with some swagger and confidence in front of the $$$ folks and forge connections with them, the NIL money will be there. Just like any other school, the $$$ people need a reason to believe before they start slinging money around.

Not gonna deny the hotness taking point, but KC needs proven recruiters. She seems to have the X’s and O’s down. Just will need some expert help at bringing in the players.

Agree - first impressions matter with money people.

My belief is you would not put a clause in a HC contract that says you will be paid the #1 comp in the sport unless you have the money lined up for the NIL folks to do their thing.

The way these things usually work is the coach gets to meet a handful of key high level backers before the contract offer once the previous coach has been terminated.
