I notice that of our 20 2024 commits at the moment, 10 are on offense, and of those 5 are OL. So it's not like there is no effort. It's really a matter of filling in for the missing class we lost.

As far as IMMEDIATE depth, I get some of that and there will be a defection imo from the gang of Reddick, Grant and Clipper but also a surprise performance or two. There’s an interesting dichotomy from our fans when talking recruiting and team building. Invariably they desire even the higher rated OL signees to redshirt and acclimate to the college game, and lower rated development types to sit 2-3 seasons before they even sniff the field. So why PANIC when the former (like Addison Nichols) don’t beat out players who’ve been in a college program 3…4…5…even 6 seasons? Then agonize that types of the latter aren’t already established performers in the two deep in their second season out of a redshirt? When one is determined to anticipate doom…

I do believe if we could harness the size and power of both Donte against slower and smaller backs as well as utilizing Joe's size running more, we become way more difficult to defend. But yes, does Donte have that 'alpha' in him to truly make a diff?
