True, but I'm not restricting myself to generational talent at this point. Would take Steen and Cornelius without qualms. I would wager we "overpay" for someone or two. But I'm no insider. The "missing class" via cornpone and the sanctions has the potential to really hurt us next year otherwise. You really think there’s a treasure trove not happy where they’re at? Who was the future top 10 pick this past off-season? Ajani Cornelius from Rhode Island? He’s a starter at RT for Oregon but I haven’t yet heard of him having to make a decision to declare. Like Tyler Steen from Vandy to Bama last season…nothing generational, and that’s a program that loads up on 5 star OL each recruiting class. A piece here and there I agree with and imo that’s the coaches mindset. Pick up a center to help groom Satterwhite, and mebbe an OT for depth/competition. But WHOLESALE CHANGES is fan messageboard fantasy…once again imo.
Yeah, I rewatched it. I think Sampson definitely missed it. . . but so did the OL. Sampson has to have better awareness for blocking back there. He's gonna get someone killed. Almost got Hooker killed vs LSU last year.I don't know. I haven't rewatched it all. We were talking about the play when Joe got hurt. The guy who tackled Joe ran right past Karic and imo Sampson was responsible to block him and didn't even see him. We were talking about Sampson in pass pro.
The first whiff by DSamp remarked upon is here: #14,695. The play where Joe got hurt is at 1:30:32.
Sampson will learn. And he will be a NFL quality back when he does. Just needs to focus and get his back to the QB. He can do it.Yeah, I rewatched it.
