General consensus…not mine. I can respect the argument tho. No coincidence that the Orioles in Brooks time and the Phillies in Schmidt’s won at the level of their hot corners individual brilliance.

That’s a negavol persecution complex inspired response. GTFO with the “overly optimistic” bs! How about not writing the ending of a book FOUR chapters in without allowing for plot DEVELOPMENTS? FTR I wasn’t referencing YOU in the first place before you came in all hot azzed with the Lee Harvey Oswald “I’m a patsy.” angle. Maybe you’re prescient, maybe you went morbid before facts were in evidence as you have been wont to do. I have no problem admitting my wrongness after the FULL season serves as the judge…can you say the same? Or will you go radio silent?

Yea they were pretty good.

Funny thing about Brooks Robinson is his offensive peak (his mid 20’s) didn’t align with the peak of his defensive wizardry, that came later (in his early 30’s).

You combine his offensive output from ‘64 with his defensive prowess in ‘68, and he smokes Schmidt’s best seasons in overall win value.

Well, no one ever gets replies like this for an “overly optimistic” opinion. That’s for sure.

We just identified another human species a few years back - think that makes 6 of us that were walking around at about the same time.

We’ll figure out one day that we weren’t the first ones over here - hope I see it.
