No, it was far before that. Changes to the rules made RBs less valuable, strict pass interference, protecting the QBs, allowing OL to be more handsy (hold). It was a lot harder and more risky to throw the ball prior to the 80's, it was saved for a last resort on 3rd down or gimmick offenses. He didn't suck obviously.
But his backups averaged barely less than he did.
It was their OL more than anything.
Emmitt and that OL was one of the beginning points of GMs realizing RBs weren't as valuable as once thought...compared to OLs and passing. Still took them years to shift their actions.
I have an army buddy that is a huge Arky fan. He texted me, "Thanks for your contribution to the Arkansas basketball team." I basically told him this. Good player that disappears when things get tough. Well, now he can disappear for another team.Aidoo is softer than Charmin TP after being soaked in water for 2 weeks, any time he goes against someone 6’10+ he folds hardcore. I hope our fans and student section makes Aidoo’s life hell when Arky plays at Tenn next year.
You can tell Texas Augie Garrido is not there anymore and they ain't what they used to be. Actually aTm is a more attractive job than TU now.Update (also posted in baseball forum): Texas fans have entered the “Hire Vitello” discourse.
Unsurprisingly, they also believe he would never say no to them. Texas, like LSU is one of the only teams that would scare me if they called. But that’s for the same reasons LSU scared me in 21. Unlimited tradition, money and resources.
Knowing a little more about Tony’s personality from then to now, though. I think his unwavering loyalty is primarily why he’d say no, as they could probably outspend us if they wanted. But also I think the prospect of being the guy who built a program that will surely eventually have facilities, streets or even the stadium named after him (if this trajectory continues) is more appealing than just being another in a long line of great coaches at Texas. Especially now that the program is built and he only has to maintain it from here.
Damn good series.
If just talking LBJ, the dude is almost 40. MJ never saw a winning record at this age.
Jokic the best there is right now.
Dude, wipe the spit from running down your faceIt was the best series so far even tho it was 4-1. All close games. Lakers prob should have won it 4-1 themselves. They lead every game by double digits if I'm not mistaken?
I know they led a ridiculous amount of total time. Think Nuggets led a total of like 45 mins total all 5 games? That's crazy. LeBron did his thing and carried all he could. Yall LeBron haters just wanna overlook it. AD helped for the most part. The rest of the team blew balls like they normally did throughout the season. Reaves showed up last 2 games. DLo had his moments. The rest might as well stayed at home every game. NOONE is gonna beat the Nuggets with 2 players showing up. Not to mention Lakers coach wouldn't be a good high school coach much less an NBA coach. But yea its LeBrons fault. He should have scored 45-50 instead of having 30pt, 11assist, & 9 boards and 4 steals at 39 yall wild. MJ, Kobe, & LeBron all great players in their own way
Nuggets are a great TEAM that play very well together & have a good coach. They'll be a hard out. I'll take em over the Wolves in 6
