Congratulations. We wanted 3 but our 2nd child was rough. I changed my mind after him. 😀

Your situation is not as much a "stretch" as @LaagerVol. He's got a 24yr old and a 21yr old.... he was almost home free..... literally.

**I do not know his situation though. A 40 yr old guy at work and his 2nd wife just had a baby last year. He has 3 kids (I think they're from 16 yrs down to 10 yrs old) with his previous wife but they live with their mom.
Definitely is the epitome of starting over lol.

Retirement, EVER, is not looking good. Travel after said retirement, Is not looking good.

But can I tell you how much more I realize what a blessing life is? She makes me appreciate all of my kids more. I just wish I knew then, what I know now, when my first two were little. I would definitely have worked less, cherished more.

Agree with this completely, I spend a hell of a lot more time with my grandchildren than I ever did with my son and daughter. Worked all the time .

Is anyone else that lives in Georgia having to deal with these ridiculous USPS issues from their new distribution center in Palmetto? I've got a really valuable package that has been stuck there since Monday...hasn't even been scanned in but the seller put an airtag in the box, so we know it's there. I keep thinking about going down there to get it, but I don't want to make a 1.5 hour drive just to be turned away.

Yep. Have a package that’s been sitting there since April 18.

Happy Friday team. Sorry I am late.

May 3, 2024: When difficulties and challenges arise, you must be flexible to do what is required of you. Realize that I am with you to give you wisdom and direction in every circumstance. Do not be afraid to step out in faith, and know that you can accomplish what seems to be impossible. Be strong and of good courage, says the Lord. Take one step at a time in realizing your goal so that you do not become overwhelmed. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
This is perfect and what I needed to read to help with some things I’m dealing with right now. So awesome to see how God answers your prayers sometimes with things like this. Thanks!

Those teachers got creative with their paddles too. My 5th grade teacher had a paddle he kept hanging on a nail by the door. It was red white and blue with "board of education" printed on it. 🤣
When I was in high school, my vice principal was an ex-NFL lineman. I got one paddling from him and only one. The man literally lifted my feet off the floor. That’s all it took to convince me. And yes, I deserved it. 😂

One of the interesting stories I heard from last night:

Rick Barnes was approached by Doug Dickey to be Tennessee’s next coach to replace Devoe.

Barnes was highly interested and was prepared to accept Dickey’s offer and fly to Knoxville to attend an introductory press conference.

But before that, Rick called the Big East Commissioner at the time and the commissioner said “Why would you want to work for a helmet head?”

Barnes ended up not accepting the position and UT hired Wade Houston instead.

I dont get the issue of affect and effect..verb and noun..of course there are a couple of trip ups I have..cant remember at the moment. Almost like I learned something incorrectly for a long time as a child, got corrected, yet confuse which is correct.
I get that one confused too..but there, they're and their get me all the time...I know which one to use, but when I'm trying to type out a quick post I sometimes use the wrong one.

Luckily...I am slightly dyslexic so I almost always check my posts before hitting reply and I usually catch it.

My dyslexia manifests in a weird way...I usually get the order of letters in a word right, but most of the time my posts sound like Yoda and I have to rearrange my sentences before hitting reply, and I screw numbers up all the time which can really cause trouble.

Wow 2nd Boeing whistleblower in 2 months suddenly dead. I'm not usually a conspiracy guy but wow....

I'm glad you responded and I was wondering about it. I agree about knowing more now, than then, and doing things differently. I would've handled discipline a little better, especially with my oldest.

I was fortunate to have a job, when the kids were growing up, that would let me go to inschool events and not have to burn vacation hours. I was a volunteer coach for each sons teams for a while. I played outside with them as much as I could and didn't value money over time with them. I still feel like I missed so much. Life goes by too fast.

How many of you true Southerners have ever ate Pickled Beans?

My grandmother canned them every year put them in a big Crock and added whole Kernel Corn and Kosher salt took like 21 days for Green Beans to pickle.
I have never had them, but I think they would be really good.

I've not tried pickled beans. I guess I'll have to now.

protip: Ingles deli pimento cheese, a slice of one of these bad boys, and a Club cracker will make your belly smile. 😋

Alcohol revenue increased massively during covid, among older folks. Linneals have dropped alcohol intake, in favor of??

Mary Jane. You Neo's want job creation in an Agricultural State? There tis.
I for one would rather the revenue to the government decrease for both. I am not a conservative or liberal, I am just a plain old American. If I had to be labeled, I guess it would be Libertarian. The government should stay out of all of it. I personally don't think the government has say in determining whether weed or alcohol are legal or illegal. When they regulate something the only thing that changes practically is that they make money.
Why should the government sanction marriage, what business is it of theirs? It should be a private contract between individuals, but there is money to be made. The state of Alabama stopped issuing marriage licenses and nobody noticed, they were getting "money for nothing."(they always got their chicks for free)
In practicality weed is legal now and we don't need the government to oversee (tax) it. I say the same for alcohol.

I am on a kick for these. I've tried mild ones as well, and these aren't really hot at all. I enjoy pretty much any type of okra.
