When I saw the teams announced, I told my wife Europe was gonna rip us a new one. And I'm not picking on JT although his selection made zero sense.
I disagree. Some guys just thrive in match play regardless of how they are playing individually. The JT pick was fine. I haven’t watched a whole lot this morning but sounds like he is carrying Spieth.

The people crying about wearing dark mode are crazy. Best alternates in all of sports and better than 99.9% of everyone's regular jerseys.

I’m a traditional guy. I grew up with Orange and White. I honestly don’t care about the Smokey Grays or the Dark Mode jerseys.

The posts crying about the posts criticizing the alternate jerseys is getter old however. Right @Enki_Amenra ? 😂

The thing that I absolutely don’t like about the game now is all the piped in prerecorded music.
When I was in college at UT, is was just the band. I’m a huge fan of the college band playing all of the songs.

I have been to other college games and the piped in music is louder than the fans. It’s frankly embarrassing.

That’s my old guy public service announcement for the week. 😁

Oh, and lest we forget, it’s time to beat the gamecocks.

14-1 🤠

How many plays per game are we averaging on offense this year? Points per play? Would be interesting to see if they are similar to last year.
Here's this year only.

This is points per play:
-Not including end of period or end of game
-Not including accepted offensive penalties
-Not including kickoffs

I knew a guy who owned some chicken restaurants. He was making like $50mil a year. Died in a tragic accident at the nursing home.
I sold one of my things to him. He was the son of the man that started the company. He took over and went crazy. Super nice guy. He went bankrupt and the bank repo'd his big floaty thing I sold him. He got a divorce too. I typically wouldn't share this info but it's all available on the internet.

I live in the largest rift valley in the U.S. The Sequatchie Valley.
Cool story bro time...That is where my family is from. We were some of the earliest white settlers in the valley..and we didn't take anything from the Cherokee.

Two brothers bought the land they turned into farms from them...one of them was my ancestor.

I’m aware. I don’t credit the 30 additional stolen bases over the magic 40 mark to bigger bases and limiting pitcher throws tho. There are six total who reached 40 this season. That 100 figure requires a lead off hitter to get on base regularly and the TEAM to be proficient at small ball. It was an outlier even back in Henderson and Coleman’s days…back when they were a little more durable. I’d love to see it, but not as optimistic.
Baseball is analytics based…. teams will adjust based on what it is telling them to do…. Right now stolen bases has increased by 1,000 in the first yr of the change along with a success rate of over 80%…. That is true even with the fastest pop time by catchers in MLB. Add in the fact that players are not getting on base more due to the no shift rule….. BABIP has risen from .291 to .297 in MLB. There were six players that more than doubled their previous high in steal attempts this season. As the data starts being utilized by MLB clubs…. i think we will continue to see a greater emphasis on the SB…. we will never go back to small ball but why not take an easy base?

Might get out of today with a point not looking good....Zach Johnson going have to regroup the team.. these two young bucks for Europe are unbelievable on this course...👀👀👀
When you let politics and friendships dictate your decisions, it's usually a recipe for disaster. Frankly, Zach shouldn't have been named captain.

Here is a comparison of our "Points per Play" and "Plays per game" between 2022 and 2023.

-Not including end of period or end of game
-Not including time outs
-Not including accepted offensive penalties
-Not including kickoffs
-Includes punts

From this data, it looks like we sustainably averaged 0.60 points per play in 2022, and are around 0.46 points per play this year.

Plays per game in 2022: 77.66
Plays per game in 2023: 75.25

Given that I've read each team has lost about 2 plays per game due to the new clock rules, we are on par with plays-per game from this year to last, but are falling pretty far behind on points per play.

Bonus:
Points per game in 2022: 47.33
Points per game in 2023: 35.00

This amazes me...

Great safety feature and cartridge replacement is about $100 for regular and $200 for dado stacks. But you can have false triggers that suck. Wet lumber, cardboard, some poly/static, and being impatient before the blade stops can cost you some bucks. Having said that, it's still cheaper than a trip to the ER. It's not cheap to own a saw stop, but it's great peace of mind.
