Day would give him the OC title (sans playcalling), and they pay more than others could or would. Only thing that would dislodge him would be a national title followed by ambition imo...in that order.

An NCAA investigation would have dislodged a lot at Ohio State before NIL, but NCAA impunity made their program for them. After NIL, Ohio State would have been the most rational target that the NCAA could have gone after, applying post hoc rules and their sudden "guilty until proven" policy against Ohio State.

The huge forgotten F5 Rainsville Tornado in the 2011 outbreak missed us by a half mile..I never want to be that close to another tornado of any size again either. If you wanna see that awesome tornado footage, there is a YouTube video that documents it in it's entirety...just type this in..

I lived NE of Chattanooga in those days and after the accompanying storm blew through, my neighborhood was densely littered with debris — tiny bits of insulation and other building materials, paper fragments, etc. One of my neighbors found a utility bill intact, addressed to a house in Rainsville.
