We used to do that. My wife developed a pretty bad gluten sensitivity (not quite celiac) and nonspecific autoimmune disease, which ended that. Sucks because she loves Asian food. Fortunately PF offered some gf options, so that's usually what we'll do if we're in Knoxville and she wants Chinese.

You're right. We as a culture enable it. But I'm not.

Note: IMHO, calling that manager and warning him about that was a kindness. He could take that to heart, make changes, and thrive.

I’ve marked a couple of places off my list too. Taco Bell is ridiculous. Can eat at any of the actual Mexican restaurants cheaper. The local KFC (besides other reasons I won’t give them my business) is awful. After the second time I went there and they said “we are out of chicken” I haven’t been back. I really like Krystal burgers ( I know, I know) but I refuse to pay $20 for twelve of them.

Besides the financial reasons I won’t go, most of these fast food places are very poorly managed. Can’t find quality management willing to take on the responsibility for the salary offered. Cant find employees.

Technology and progress….it’s grand.

I pick up at Kiko's in Seymour when my wife and I want Mexican. It is almost always <$20 for both of us and they give you free chips and salsa. Food is good, too. If we get drinks at taco bell with our meals, it is usually over $20.

Honestly, TB is my go to fast food. I love the customizability using the app and I get the cheap stuff there. One of the few places I can eat for under $10. Sometimes can stretch it out to two or three meals.
