Green river 34.99
Old granddad bonded 26.99 or so
Granddad 114 30.99 or so

And hell, I LOVE rebel 100’ at 19.99 and Evan Williams bottled in bond (white label) at 17.99
I actually prefer all those I listed over BT, Blantons, eagle rare, Weller SR. But im also speaking from the industry side where I have easy access
Gotta agree. The only one on that list I enjoy is ER, cause I can find it anywhere and most times at around $40. For me, it’s the craft bourbons rite now. Just feel like they put “more” into their bourbons.

And for all you East TN folks, do yourself a favor and go check out Kings Family distillery. IMG_9666.jpeg

Kings is 🔥🔥
Also saw you mentioned Holladay. Also a good product

On ER, I much prefer Russells 10yr over ER

Yeah I’ve had some of the top tier stuff and that 17 year Kings is crazy good. Taste like a butterscotch cookie and drinks like it’s 100 proof and not 136.

Oh I’m def a fan of anything Russell’s. 10, SIB, SIB Reserve, 13. All of those are freaking great

Not necessarily. Join mailing list, most of us build relationships with our local stores too.

The thing I enjoy the most is when I’m traveling, I’m always looking for liquor stores to stop at. Me and my lady will actually road trip and go “hunting”.

Recently I’ve been way more into the Craft stuff anyways. If you get into Ga, Fl, Miss, keep an eye out for crafts such as Crittentons, Ben Holladay bottles. Those are some of the best craft pours out there rite now. If you can get to KY or Ohio be on the look out for OCD 5 bottles.

Most of those range from $45-75 and I’d put them up against probably any other bottle in that price range. That OCD is like drinking Chocolate covered Raisins, simply delicious
This is the thing I dislike most about living in a controlled state (VA). There's no thrill of going to a store and coming across a hidden gem. The random drops are better than the old way where people would literally wait for hours on delivery days (and at a limit of 1 per on every brand) where the top six to twelve would clear out shelves. John J Bowman used to be my go to budget bottle (was under $50 for the longest time), but even that has now become an allocated bottle here in VA, and tough to find elsewhere. Russell's Reserve SiB, while on the pricier side, is still a solid everyday pour as well imo.

Agreed. NC is the same way. You’ll find pretty much the same stock at every store. I’ll drive to SC or TN and find completely different stock. It’s crazy.

John J is a good pour, have you had the Abraham Bowman French yet? Think it just released in Feb ‘24.

Buddy of mine had a bottle and I got to sample it and Good Lawd…..

I feel like we will win this tournament. Tony will use game one as motivation, we have very good pitching depth, and we slaughter (especially when we get to lower level pitching from others (and this is where they will all be when we play them). The vandy boys want now part of what is going to hit them once we finish of MST.

A little over halfway through my bottle. I was fortunate that both my wife and mother won bottles in the lottery. Definitely a top three finished bourbon/whiskey for me. Though a different finish, I'd put it in the realm of Master's Keep Revival.
