It’s not superstition…. Just don’t want to hurt yourself in the tournament that matters… It sounds like Tony is trying to prevent that from happening.

It would be a massive injustice if this story doesn't become a movie.
i'm sure Matthew Mconnogahey will be in it somewhere as the overly emotional, patriarchy. Sandra Bulloch will be the inspirational, but understanding wife. Loves her husband, despite his absence. Instead of food poisoning, Hollywood will 'adapt the story', meaning everyone will be on the Operating Table right before hitting grand slam.

Pitcher wins college world series game while his father is getting a quadruple by pass heart surgery. Plus his Mother is having an affair with his current HC.

But has a change of heart seeing him on the table, decides wants to spend rest of her life with him. Recommits. However, he has none of it. Until he sees her standing, with soft backlit sunlight, in a white dress, and wind blowing hair and dress. He falls in love, cause ya know. That happens.

~ The school shut down because their largest donor, a megachurch pastor (played by Alec Baldwin), hated that the baseball coach (played by Nick Offerman) allowed an openly gay player (Zac Efron - son to McConaughey and Bulloch) be on the team. ~

An instant Hollywood classic

~ Plot twist, he's Rush Propst, and his second wife and family arrives at the hospital shortly after recovery ~

567 flashbacks to when Openly Gay Player had issues at home, on ball field, and ordering a frappucino that one time at Starbucks.

Btw, bullying is now against the law.

How does that get enforced?

Can hurt themselves playing catch or during BP session.
It’s not about hitters as much as it is is about pitching. When guys are pitching in games….. they are using 100% plus intensity. It wears on arms over a long season. It doesn’t seem like Tony is stressing out arms too much though although I haven’t paid too much attention bc I hate that we play this tournament. It doesn’t really help seeding or anything much at all. It may help a borderline team get into a regional but that is about it. I want us to win Omaha and this is a team that can do it if we are at 100% full strength. Go Vols!!!

I think the "curse" is being the no.1 overall seed. Last team do so was the 1999 Miami team.
I think there's just more parity in baseball. I don't think the odds of winning it all are significantly different between any seed. Whereas in most sports being a #1 overall gives you better odds, because there's a larger gap to overcome if you aren't as good as the opponent.

Pitchers have been known in HISTORY to hurt themselves by warming up or on a off day during a Bullpen session.

Didn't say a word about hitters but while on subject Hitters have been known to pull muscles during batting practice.

For the last time CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS aren't going to stop .

To much money involved to lose. Deal with it ladies and gentlemen.

It’s not about injuries…. It is about tired arms…. losing a few mph or rpm’s can be the difference between winning and losing.

Did Tired arms cause Tennessee to lose to Notre Dame in 2022 Super Regional ?
Did tired arms cause Tennessee to lose to LSU in CWS last season ?

Nevermind you're not going to change my mind about this.

I guess I'm more like @Ulysees E. McGill than I thought. I'm stubborn as hell 🤪

It goes to single elimination next year, so it actually does help.

I am all Vol, and you live close to Vanderbilt!
Our newest basketball player grew up and lived close to Andy and yet he is still a Vol. At least I don't walk around with purple fur like an LSU fan when I could easily dye it Pantone 151 like a true Vol fan.

Whenever you say 'Andy' I immediately think of the crackhead.

🤦🏼‍♂️ What a world we live in.
