Regarding Okpara and Aidoo at center, I thought that they played basketball. We need linemen, but neither of these fit the bill, nor does this conversation belong on this particular board.

It goes to single elimination next year, so it actually does help.
16 teams work out that way. Since 4 games is prolly the maximum playable per day, do you think the top 4 seeds will play the first day and (in effect) take their bye the second day of the tournament?

Happy Sunday

May 26, 2024: Be alert and pay attention to the small things. Knowing the details will make all the difference at this time and can be extremely important to the outcome of situations you encounter. Exercise your discernment so that you can avoid costly mistakes. Know that I am with you to take you in the right direction, says the Lord. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

@butchna

Reading some analytics about the pitching in MLB, I was just thinking. What would Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver, Fernando Valenzuela tell their Managers if they said okay I have to take you out due to pitch count 👀👀.

Oh yes and Bob Gibson 🤣🤣🤣
Managers of their day wouldn’t know the term pitch count. If those talents were pitching today they would have been developed accepting the protocol. Their toughness was a big part of their greatness, but it was also necessary. Pain and discomfort in your arm was something you worked through. Sandy Koufax (my favorite) had a permanent bow in his arm during his career. It’s sad that the days of a complete game of 10+ innings is extinct but definitely better for the players.

This basketball portal season shows yet again that we are really great at NIL and the portal. This alleged "wild west" (according to the intended slander of the teams who have lost their biggest advantage of cheating with impunity) (or as I call it, the new age of "freedom from tyranny") is definitely a factor in the Vols renaissance.

Heupel, Barnes, and Vitello are really smart coaches. Their intelligence is a huge asset, along with their high characters and the cultures they build. And we have the financial support (so long as it is intelligently applied -- not an overawing bank like a few places) and the fan base, the tradition and facilities, and the intelligent and willing administrators in Randy, Donde, and Danny to make it happen.

(No offense to my man McGill. This is just how I see it. Not trying to argue with you or others who see it differently.)

567 flashbacks to when Openly Gay Player had issues at home, on ball field, and ordering a frappucino that one time at Starbucks.

Btw, bullying is now against the law.

How does that get enforced?
Underrated movie Heathers. Police survey the staged suicide scene of two football players and wonder what happened. They find a bottle of mineral water: “OMG…they were **British cigarettes!**” Forged suicide note closes case.

Clearly you still can't read. I didn't say he didn't act ike an adult, I said he needed to be the adult. That shouldn't be a controversial statement. All coaches need to be the adult. The Miss State coach should be the adult and tell his boys to stop. Tony should be the adult and ignore the chirping. At the end of the day NOTHING HAPPENED and we are arguing about something that got de-escalated simply because you can't be objective.

You also somehow think I'm a college professor? Reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

You and 1 other person didn't appreciate that I gave all parties blame for the altercation because you cannot comprehend the actual criticism I'm providing. I gave Tony the least criticism of the entire bunch. I even spelled out for you what my point is and you are continuing to make it about WHAT he said when I have continued to emphasize it has nothing to do with what was said. So, I'll happily do as you ask and ignore you since you have informed me of your refusal to be objective.
Good grief, Soil, let it go. We can read. We understood your criticism. We simply didn’t agree with criticizing when you don’t know everything that went on even if you saw things you didn’t hear things. And even if Tony said something he didn’t say everything that happened so we still don’t don’t know. I just thought it was ironic that in one post you criticized someone for making up what they thought happened then your next post was to act like you knew. There’s no telling what was said.

I dropped it until you questioned my reading comprehension. Going to drop it again even if you don’t comprehend again….not trying to take away your right to criticize Tony. Go ahead. People may disagree with you. It was about criticizing when you didn’t know what happened. NOT that big of a deal. Just a conversation.
