I think there's just more parity in baseball. I don't think the odds of winning it all are significantly different between any seed. Whereas in most sports being a #1 overall gives you better odds, because there's a larger gap to overcome if you aren't as good as the opponent.

Absolutely, private schools like Vandy could always give more scholarships then teams like Tennessee. I'm sure NIL has helped with the parity in recent years.
