Now that the beer and smoke is out of the system, my long post thoughts:

Game ball: DL. Pearce is also a candidate aloone for the ball with 2 sacks, but this line as a whole deserves it. Tremendous game. 6 sacks, 8 TFL and May as well just give them a caused INT too because that stemmed from their pressure on Rattler.

Milton: much more command. 1st INT was bad, 2nd INT was the right throw at least. DB made a nice play. He seemed to feel more comfortable. I think a good bit of that is comfort knowing he’s got Mays back. Joe was also more accurate on intermediate routes and slants. That’s big. The stat they showed where he was 42% on throws over 1+ yard isn’t great. Would look a little better with drops taken out though.

RB: Wright with another strong game with 123 yards. So consistent, really good. For all the flack that Small gets he was still 5.4 YPC. Him and Samp got about the same amount of carries, 11 and 9, and had the same YPC.

OL: Much more like it. CockCommanders only had 1 sack and 1 TFL. They opened up some nice holes and on a couple of the longer runs they got up to the 2nd level and made it possible. Mays back is huge. Hope he can stay healthy.

Bru: We will miss him this year. That made my stomach crawl when I saw it. Hope he gets the best possible diagnosis under the circumstances. Only been here going on his 2nd level but he’s a huge part of the team and leadership room. Going to need some young guys to step up.

One last thing: **** you, Beamer. Go make another cringe video ya schmuck.

Even Hubbs on the VQ mini pod said TN Dline was held all game and only got 2 holding calls. Refs are atrocious in every conference

Feels like we haven’t had a call in our favor ALL year long. It’s been wild. Holding all game and no flag for PI on that Squirrel catch. Yet they call a weak block in the back on us on the Dee Williams house call. Ridiculous. How is it that we are the only program that doesn’t even get favorable calls at home????

And the people who don't understand that the officiating bias is not incompetence will find a way to blind themselves to this flagrant discrepancy, too.
I was one of those but all of you have convinced me ...I pay attention to the officials more than I ever did..you have shown me the light...

The media made that Ole Miss game out to be some sort of national emergency, but it had happened before and has happened since, and it barely makes news.

he may have not thrown the flag bc squirrel made the catch… if he missed it then he may have thrown the flag…. i thought the refs did a pretty good job.
I thought the same. I also thought they need to throw the flag regardless, because the rules make no allowance for catch or no catch. Throw the flag. Give the coach a chance to accept/decline. Announce. Spot the ball.

Unless this is another shorten game (more commercials) rule change?

Bama's OL is huge, almost too big. James Pearce should have a field day in Tuscaloosa

Not necessarily. Won’t have the advantage of a rockin Neyland throwing off the timing and communication of their OL. Just like at FL. Doesn’t mean he won’t have some success but USCe OL is not good, at all.

Best case scenario is that ends up a day game.

This toy story thing is kind of cool, but I don't understand the purpose lol.

It seems like the kids that would really enjoy this also won't understand or care that it is mirroring the real game. It just looks like a bad cartoon.

All in all the officiating wasn’t terrible last night, could have been a lot better but for the most part they seemed to let both sides play and only called flags when they had to. Still not perfect, but the best officiated game we’ve had this year except maybe against UVA

Eh. Would have preferred them actually throwing some flags considering how badly we dominated the LOS. It felt like I was seeing blatent holds all night.

The PI no call in Squirrel was insane. Like someone said last night, hopefully the ref standing there saw it was caught and didn't bother.
