We don't need to tempt fate though, the baseball gods are peculiar and tend to favor the team with fewest lob. But I agree, if we hold them to 5 runs we will win. We will get ours, we always do.

It is weird how often teams get punished heavily for that..

Remember the "we don't have 2 starting pitchers that can go 4+" post yesterday?

Right after Beam went 4+ and today Sechrist dominated and threw 100 pitches. Not to mention Causey went 4+ in relief the other day.

All the handwringing about pitching and we absolutely shut them down in game 3. Beautiful pitching performance.

If I was a player....... I'd run through a damn brick wall for this guy............ If I'm his opponent I'd hate losing to him but begrudgingly respect the hell out of him for the way he carries himself and leads.
