Kavares' 2-run homer was absolutely huge last night also, cutting the deficit from 5 to 2. That really set up one on the greatest come-back wins in Vols and CWS history in the ninth.

He got a triple to lead off the 9th too right?

I took it to mean I’ll take the foul strike “it’s fine”. I think with how good we are you have to just keep it simple. Swing at definitely strikes, lay off balls and ones you’re not sure on. Everything else will work itself out.

Yep. It was probably a strike. But there were some other awful calls against us that game. Thankfully the ump swallowed his whistle and didn't let the game end on basically a 50/50 call.

*My left eye swelled shut after I got through mowing yesterday evening. I've been battling a nasty sinus infection all week and still ain't over it.


It was a fantastic game. That 9th inning was wild. I believe we will win it all. Overcoming the fielding errors and pitching issues is what champions do. We'll play better Sunday

We sure missed you in here, especially missed your time clock gif......it was a rough one for most of the game. We overcame alot of bad stuff last night, and like you, I believe we win it all. Seems like we're just gonna will ourselves all the way.

Thanks, bud. I missed being on here. I caught up this morning and it looked like @DD4ME was doing a good job leading the sunshine brigade.

I'm not 100% sure what's going on with me. I've had a fever (off and on) since last Saturday night, I can't hardly breathe, and I keep coughing up green chunks. I'm hoping that eye swelling up last night was the grand finale. I'm going to the doctor Monday..... if my lungs don't start clearing up.
