Fracture dislocation.
When the fixed the fractures, they will repair any damaged ligaments as well.
Looks gruesome, but he can have complete recovery after that surgery. The question is when, not if. 8+ weeks to heal, then regain function and return to full strength.
Doubtful for a return this season.
Possible for the playoffs.
If I’m him, if I get good evals for NFL I am healing up for the combine. If not come back for another season with Nico who will target him more.

Without knowing exact of Bru's dislocated/broken ankle, how long is recovery? Everything ive seen is 12 weeks, worst case. Is that assuming that there is no tendon or ligament detachment?

Btw I do not give one fark about him ever playing again for us. My prayers are for him to be healthy, and play in league. Its time for him to get paid.
Yup 8 weeks for fractures to heal. Longer for any significant ligament repairs. Then getting back in shape. 12 weeks is a good conservative estimate.

So theoretically speaking, Bru certainly wont play again this year, but if the recovery time is 8-12 weeks-likely the later- it would have him being in rehab early to late December. It is certainly not out of the realm of possibility for him to do light work in bowl prep (like routes on air if that). He probably could be back by spring ball

See if he’s coming back first of all, which I would bet he is, then just have him get ready for spring ball. Honestly, if that’s the timeline, it’s better than I thought. I was thinking a more lengthy rehabilitation was coming.

I saw the injury and feared the worst. Seeing that foot turned that way, my wife and I looked for blood and bone to see if it was like my break several years ago. If so, there would be screws, plates, blown out cartilage, loss of range of motion... (Think Alabama's Prothro.)

I was worried his career was over, and my heart broke as much as my stomach turned.

With that said, any chance of medical exemption and another year? I'd love to see him able to prove himself for the NFL.
