And to be consistent they should have booed the pick 6, but everyone seemed pretty jazzed about that.

What exactly has Shane done better than Heupel? Heupel has been a successful head coach at two locations and inherited more of a dumpster fire than Beamer did.

I'd go so far as to say Tennessee would be in a worse place than South Carolina currently is if Beamer was UT's coach, and South Carolina would be just below where Tennessee is currently at if Heupel was there.

it’s a small vocal minority that booed…. the majority were clapping…. players to be mentally tough to handle high level college sports.

I'll have to go find it but I was perusing their forum yesterday and someone actually tried to say that Heupel inherited a loaded roster because the NCAA didn't hammer us and that Beamer was handed a MUCH worse roster. LMAO.

I don't know man, we have a lot of very vocal idiots in our fanbase, @mr.checkerboards post history showcases they exist.

Even the basketVOLs have them and despite what Barnes has built and how great of an ambassador JJJ has been for that program that guy gets all sorts of negative heat from OUR fans. It is what it is, but if you figure out a way to quiet them then please do it...I stopped attending games in person because of having to hear drunk orange clad idiots yelling all sorts of ridiculousness.

Just thankful the game I took my son we were in a good section, but it was also an early game against a cupcake.

If our idiot fans would realize everyone despises the way they act and thinks they're low-iq, low-class trash, including other Vols fans, maybe they'd stop. . . but they wont realize it. . . because they're low-iq, low-class idiots. They think they're being cool and edgy and proving a point. . . only point they're proving is the type of person they are. . . a low-iq, low-class idiot.

Sad part is that there are so many idiots like this who are so dumb that they'll try to defend being an idiot. When you're truly that stupid and don't understand that you're an idiot, not much can be done. So it's kinda funny watching who jumps out to defend this behavior, says alot.

I saw that too, I was like "damn, if the LB had just spied he would have been in a position to make that tackle"

It happens though...Tank sagged in WAAAAY too much imo as well on that play since the LB was blitzing I'd expect he would hang back to clean up if the runner tried to bounce or cutback, he was too close to the LOS though and also was out of position.
