Texas is a "hot crazy chick" that brings a huge national fanbase, a huge media and recruiting footprint that doesn't directly compete with most of the conference outside of Texas recruits and overlap with LSU and maybe Arky and we prefer to have them than let them go to the BIG Can't Count.

FSU is a "Florida Skank crazy chick" that directly competes for recruits with most of the rest of the SEC. They may have amazing co-eds and fit the geographic personality of the SEC but don't bring nearly as much to the table in fandom and we already own their media market so less positives to offset their crazy. Clemson is similar but J really don't have a problem with either joining and would also like NC State, UVA and possibly UNC in the SEC. UVA would have it rough in football for a bit but could up their recruiting profile and bring more some of the DMV media market, plus they are good at most every other sport and are a top public university. They honestly might be the hidden gem of the ACC.

I do love FSU's traditions but they just don't add much other than keeping the BIG out of the FL market somewhat (lots of BIG school fans live in FL). Texas is possibly another perennial NC contender and so is Oklahoma.

Miami doesn't fit the SEC at all so they can join UCF and go compete in the BIG 12 or whatever it gets re-branded as. Northeastern schools should resurrect the Big East and accept that they are not a power conference in football and focus on basketball, hockey and whatever other sports northerners like while also accepting that their fans mostly care about the NFL.

Why GT? They made sense 50+ years ago, currently OK at baseball and good academics but they need to go to the former BIG 12. They don't fit SEC culture and add no media revenue....SEC already owns GA/ATL. Why add a Vandy level football school?

2-4 weeks in jail more like it and might actually help them learn and gain life perspective. A night is mostly just processing, take a nap and leave and 2 days isn't much better for a lesson to be taught.

I didn't say add more schools. I said get more money. The best football is in the SEC. We should be compensated to that effect. Big 10 does not provide a superior product, so why are they getting paid more? It's a failure on Sankey's part that we do not have a bigger TV contract. So fire Sankey!
