Sure, but that doesn’t mean a loss is a black mark on the program under Heupel. Every year is different. And A&M is still the 4th most talented team in the country (according to team composite rankings) while Vols are 16th.

Just saying win bc it’s year 3 is a touch simplistic.

Not sure if UF makes a bowl game even with a win. They gotta play Arkansas, Georgia, fsu, lsu, mizzou. A loss definitely keeps them from 6 wins tho imo

Banks will need to call another good game. It seems his good games are great but his bad games are awful. Very inconsistent. Think A&M’s front is good enough to limit our run game and pressure Milton so I could definitely see the defense having to make a key stop late

I think A&M is average to solid. But it is at home. UT should win this game, plain and simple. A loss would be disappointing and could spiral the team to a 7 win season.

"Should" yes, but when we're expected to lose 40% of the time, it's hardly a strong "should" either.

Wouldn't say disappointing, but do agree the momentum into a likely Bama loss would be rough. Being 4-3 with UGA, Mizzou, UK left would not be a great view. Somehow 5-2 feels like a success.

Honestly just want the win so we can enter a HYPE game vs Bama.

Point being, when he was hired. NO ONE wanted to coach this defense. Is he Nick Saban with DBs? Will Muschamp? No.

We are getting better in the secondary. This year alone we are more athletic.

I think the criticism of not playing more talented plyers at safety sometimes is accurate. But demonizing WillieMo is a lazy take. The jury is out for rest of the year though, if we **** the bed against conference teams, then reevaluate.

One thing is for sure, we have to have better success with upper crust recruits DL, OL, and DB on the trail. That is a good criticism.
