After 22 I will never buy that "win this and it's smooth sailing" ...We gotta show up EVERY game at our BEST, pissed off and ready to absolutely destroy whoever is on the other side of the ball in this league...or we won't do except cry over lost opportunities. They will try to pick on Ricky, it’s his first road game, and first year starting.
If he handles business, we are golden. I think everyone else has experience and will be fine.
The first true road test of the season always worries me, especially this one. Win this and it’s smooth sailing to the playoffs, if you lose, you have to beat UGA or Bama. This the only game I’m going to be super nervous about lol
It doesn't look like level of competition mattered, he looked really good to me when he has gotten on the field..but..My biggest worry was his level of competition in HS and him not being able to hold up physically.
You’re a warrior, brother. Taking care of your family! All the best wishes, prayers and respect going out to you.Guys and gals, my family and I have been at the ER for most of the night (my mom and brother are still there, and Im about to head back that way). Any prayers you could send up, and any love you can spare is greatly appreciated.
My 85 year old granny fell last night and broke her hip; and, they're doing surgery later on. As you know, I've been living with and taking care of both her and my mom for the last 3 years, helping them both beat cancer. I was back here in my part of the house, and heard her land in the kitchen (that's how hard she hit, that i was able to hear it from my room), then she screamed something terrible. I ran in there and my heart broke. It was the most awful, most pitiful thing I have ever experienced. She was/is in bad shape, and in an extreme amount of pain.
She just got past being sick...beating breast cancer here in the last bit, and doing so with a broken back; yeah, she's been through the ringer the last few years. I just took her Friday for tests, after she felt another lump in the other breast. The radiologist said it didn't look like anything to be concerned about, fatty tissue or such; she has her Dr's appointment, for the actual results, coming up. However, the contrast she drank for the MRI broke her out from head to toe, and she was itching something fierce Friday night into Saturday; she was feeling somewhat better from that yesterday, before she fell last night.
Anyway, again, please keep her in your thoughts, if you will. She's a trooper, and one of the toughest gals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing...if anyone can get past this, and come out stronger than ever on the other side, at her age, it's my granny. I'm a hardened pipeliner, who's worked underground and around heavy equipment for most of my life, and I believe what she's been through, and going through, would've killed me. I'm not even joking! She's BEYOND tough as nails.
Absolutely this household believes in the power of prayer, as we are a prime example of it. The good Lord has been amazing to us, and blessed us abundantly. He's seen us through time and time again.
Thank you all, and hope you have a safe/great day.
It's one thing to draft him, but to give up everything to draft someone who's so tiny was really dumb. Kyler Murray is a better version of BY and he's not having all that much success, why would they think BY was worth giving up their future?I feel bad for Bryce Young. But I also wouldn't have drafted him based on this pic alone:
He's just too damn small for the NFL. In college he could make plays because his team was uber talented and he had enough speed and elusiveness to run around in and out of the pocket and make plays. Doesn't work that way in the NFL. He can't see over his OL in the pocket.
I think of cheddar cheese and triscuits. I love seeing gouda and have greatly enjoyed pretzel chips and nut-thins as of recent. Anything else is bonus. Prosciutto/speck are good. I also really enjoy Dalmatia fig spread. When you hear "cheese & crackers" do you think of ritz crackers or saltines?
Bonus question/s
#1 Do you expect a specific type of cheese, like pepper jack, or several types of cheese to be included?
#2 Do you think pickles & mustard should also be included with cheese & crackers?
#3 what else should be delivered with "cheese & crackers", bologna? Salami? Cured sausage?
To note:
Their top 4 recievers are out.
They lost 1 OL and were already thin there.
Their RB's have underwhelmed.
The vast majority of their explosives are basically Arnold scrambling.
Contain Arnold and we likely win walking away.
Maybe they get more back than I am aware of, but I was reporting what I heard from a reporter and former teammate of Heupel's. He was very negative about the WR and RB situation.
