Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Who was it who wrote that love letter to...Jesse Scroggins, was it?

Sab. I think that's short for something else. I can't remember.

First paragraph of the love letter -
I know you are struggling with your decision. I just want you to know I wish you well wherever you play, but my heart will break for you if you announce Trojan. We love you in Tennessee. You would be our hero.

That's me with planes....
I think I mentioned to you ....
Also I think you should call your doc first thing in the morning for something to take before each flight. It's a great game and a great opportunity to see it, and I hate to imagine you having trouble getting there.

If you have never taken a vacation by yourself (more accurately ‘for yourself’), then you’re missing out
I had a great time when I went skiing at Breckenridge two years ago. Son was supposed to go, but got canceled because of grades. It was too late to find anyone else to go so I went by myself.
I had a blast. I didn’t have to wait for anyone, skied all over the mountain. On my last day it was crowded (Saturday), I found a group of runs that all wnet to a lift that no one was skiing. I skied the two black runs and the two blue runs without having to wait in line.
Took some protein bars for lunches each day and would stop long enough to eat one then keep skiing.
It was awesome.
I would have had fun if my son went, but can’t go on the trips if you don’t keep up the grades…

I've got Xanax. Low dose so nothing crazy, but it usually works for flights.

34 seconds left, the drive took 1:05.
Still, close enough. I'd go for the kill shot with 99% success rate every time. You pretty much never see an NFL RB drop that.

Much much higher odds than going for it on 4th and 4 instead of taking the points in the first quarter. That lost them the game as much as anything else.

Always wanted too, QF. Before Kids.

I enjoy 1:1 time with me and kids. Call it selfish, what have you. Couldnt imagine going by myself without them.
When my kids were little, all vacations were about them. Now they’re in college, vacations without them are fun too. We’re doing at least two trips as a family and two trips as a couple.

What i've learned today:

Venables will not be able to run his fancy disguise defenses because we go so fast. They will have to be in base defense and quickly decide what they want to stop. . . always leaving something open for us. They can't keep any success from that up for long.

Our defense will keep their offense on the sideline, watching as the life drains out of their defense. We'll start lighting them up about midway through the 2nd quarter and from about 10mins into the 3rd quarter. Our RBs are gonna have a huge day and our wrs should have several big plays.

All this is without considering what Nico is going to do to them with his legs, the new play variations, and what we will do to them before we wear them down.

They don't stand a chance.
An ACC offensive coach once told me that Venable at Clemson was the best at stealing signs. Not illegal but from film study and as game progresses. Our fast pace will help. I hope we go warp speed. The ACC coach’s team was overmatched by Clemson and decided to go fast and almost pulled off the upset. If we can run the ball early, we will smoke OU’s defense

Storm troopers are better. And a signature look imo. But if the players want them...
Nonsense.

Alabama never got a single player, never won a single game, never hoisted a single trophy - because of uniforms “the players wanted”.

They didn't need NIL either, but things charge.

Why does anyone care so deeply what uniforms the team wears?
If some are allowed to openly advocate for new (hideous) uniforms, surely others are allowed to advocate against.

You will change precisely nothing, while perpetuating a boring perspective. But by all means, please advocate. I'll be sure to stay off your lawn too.
Obviously. Same for those advocating for. So what are you fussing for again?

Talking on phone to friends. Old school.
Well in my defense I got the heck out of Ga and moved back to Tennessee and we still talk. He had a better excuse for the reason Ga only scored 13, he said Bobo had a game plan for the hurricane weather lol yes he said that. I said if I was Kirby and my OC made a game plan for bad weather that was never a threat , I would fire him.
