Point with Elarbe was if a change was going to be made, by losing to Pittman, he might not be available to hire because he may still hold on at Arky. (I'm still not sure he does) And it was made in a moment of frustration.First off, I do have concerns about the o-line. The common denominator against the two good defenses we've played is the tackles and if Heard and Campbell can't get it done then it will be on to plan b.
Your original statement was not reasonable it was the lunatic fringe kinda comment, basically it was we can't hire Pitman as pur new o-line coach because we saved his hide by losing to him. Having concern is perfectly normal reaction not the Queen of Hearts off with their heads nonsense. If every coach that the lunatic fringe hired or fired we would in big pile of mess forever.
Second you "Hope that UT neglects in maximizing Nico's potential." Wtf??? Jumped up Judas Priest! Are you Uncle Lou? Lord I hope that was a typo.
Pittman has said he's done after arky.Point with Elarbe was if a change was going to be made, by losing to Pittman, he might not be available to hire because he may still hold on at Arky. (I'm still not sure he does) And it was made in a moment of frustration.
The other comment was a typo. I am worried that UT neglects Nico's potential with pour offensive lines if the trends of the past two weeks continue. I'm not completely off the rails. Maybe after Saturday.![]()
Thank God.Point with Elarbe was if a change was going to be made, by losing to Pittman, he might not be available to hire because he may still hold on at Arky. (I'm still not sure he does) And it was made in a moment of frustration.

These college football players are still young human beings. They are vulnerable to the same things as the rest of us. I am not saying I have any inside information about why he is playing the way he is. But he could be battling issues. Emotional stuff. Homesick. Problems with a girl. Depression. Not love playing football but feeling pressured because it is his $ ticket. Who knows. I don't think he has regressed because of the coaching he is getting. That wouldn't make sense when it seems obvious that it is an effort issue.Talent was never in question. Sounds like effort is the problem.
Now the question is why is he not giving effort?
Maybe Sanders will take LT from him next year and force Heard to transfer again or be forced to move RT or inside.
I saw a few the other day, I made a joke that Floridians should beware (paraphrased) - Milton can throw a whole orange grove.Disappointed that there hasn't been a Milton hurricane strength pun on here that I've seen. I get that we're all depressed, but we can't let softballs like that go unrecognized.
Seems like a relatively simple way to overcome that is if a team is doing it, snap at 15 when they are changing their look. Just play the mental game there. I assune that's only happening on 3rd down when we slow it down. If we are too reliant on the comms that we can't a call in from the sideline to audible, and Nico is ready to read the D and audible himself then we need to fix that.Guy on Nashville radio made an interesting observation and opinion.
Perhaps Heupel has overestimated the in-helmet comms as it relates to getting Nico ready presnap. The defense shows one thing then changes it immediately after 0:15 seconds on that play clock and now he’s second guessing himself because these comms have become a crutch.
Hadn’t thought of that.
I heard this hurricane could take on Joe Milton characteristics and overthrow the state of FL completely and land somewhere in the Atlantic...Disappointed that there hasn't been a Milton hurricane strength pun on here that I've seen. I agree. He's not regressed and he's got all the talent in the world. It's effort. These college football players are still young human beings.
