I understand that drastic times call for drastic measures but you are calling for an apocalyptic response. Please think of what you are saying. Think about the children! We need a Florid game thread up ASAP. Snap and clear. Monday afternoon or @Glitch it.
WGWTFAI would love for this to be the case and like your optimism, but until Heup shows me he can adjust, hold slackers accountable, and step on someone's throat instead of being a Butch Jones against competition, I'm under the assumption and preparing for us to squeak by with a single digit win that is very underwhelming and just adds more questions to where this team and staff are headed all of a sudden compared to where they should be according to talent and what the national media sees...
We should be rising with this roster in year 4 and performing like a well- oiled machine, even with a young QB at this point in the season, and I don't see it yet. We have a veteran Oline performing like a D-2 undersized bunch of misfits the last two games when they should be flexing and gelling at this point... The fact that the national media has picked up on Heard's blatant laziness and half-ass play should be more disturbing at this point with this staff than anything else. We should be well past the Jeremy Banks type situations/Heard. These guys are now getting paid a lot of money in addition to a free education, so nut up and you are either 100% in or GTFO and go find someone else to waste their money on you.
Heup has worked his tail off and has done more with less, I will certainly give him that, and his new offense threw folks for a loop (bama home win), but real coaches have adjusted and smartened up, along with the fact that Heup now has talent galore up and down his roster.
I'm running out of excuses for the guy if things go off the rails Saturday. He may be in over his head and UCF may be more his speed if we don't see an abrupt adjustment and a focused team coming out and meticulously playing with their hair on fire wanting to bury FL.
We have proven we have the talent on our roster to whip anyone in the country, we just simply have to put it together and adjust during the game to our opponent's changes/adjustments. Heup has NOT done a good job of this so far. We've now seen that we have played some bad teams that made us look good. Maybe we are that good, but Saturday looked more like a regression to me and the fact that their coaches flat out-performed our coaches.
Hey Heup, did you not think about the fact that you had Slaughter and Nichols on the other team, who know everything about our offense and obviously spent plenty of time educating Arky on it, and this would have them anticipating our every move? Me, I'd adjust based on that fact alone... Heup? instead he trotted out there a watered down vanilla scared version, hoping not to lose. Thems the facts no one can argue with, you may not want to acknowledge them, but you can't argue them.
Really hoping this was a wakeup call for both the team and staff... really do. I am so sick of getting my hopes up that we've turned the corner. Because as of today, we certainly haven't.
Too late, Doc. @OGbabyaviVol has already Leeroy’d the board. And I’m here for it. We need to get rattled.I understand that drastic times call for drastic measures but you are calling for an apocalyptic response. Please think of what you are saying. Think about the children!![]()

Bama player grabs a QB's face mask after a play is dead, lifts the head, and then slams the QB's head into the turf. The officials did NOT eject the Bama player. (It's an ejection by at least 3 different rules that apply.)
Not only did that; they no-called even the penalty. "Legal" play. Nothing to see here.
That wasn't the final play, btw. Malachi Moore committed another ejection-worthy foul on the next play. They didn't eject him for that either. So he was shielded from sitting out the first half this week.
9-3Arkansas isn't a horrible team. They just choked a couple games they should've won. Perfect storm for them to beat us if we came in overconfident with them being capable of finally closing a game and us giving them that opportunity.
I don't think we'll do that again.
I'm back in, we win out.![]()
Not enough credit is given to Arkansas. I want their RB to portal here. Their defense played like we did against Oklahoma. Absolute animals. I miss Sam Pittman. My thread is going to get us back on track. We will look like the offense in 22 with a much better defense due to me making the game thread.Too late, Doc. @OGbabyaviVol has already Leeroy’d the board. And I’m here for it. We need to get rattled.
They really should've won a couple they lost, at least one. We still should've beaten them, but we played like white dog crap. Hopefully this loss wakes some players up. It's unfortunate that they needed this wake up call. Not enough credit is given to Arkansas. I want their RB to portal here. Their defense played like we did against Oklahoma. Absolute animals. Realistically at the beginning of the season, I felt the program should be on a 10-2 regular season footing this year. Nothing has changed, it just looks different than expected (fewer def struggles, more off struggles). I never felt it was SEC or Natty vs failure and still don't. Getting to 10-2 and either making the playoffs, or being the team everyone says should have made the playoffs, is a objective success and should keep momentum going.Arkansas isn't a horrible team. I had 9-3 n year 4 when Heupel was first hired. I hope for 10-2, but should've just stayed at 9-3. I think we can still get to 10-2 and the playoffs, but we have no shot at that if we ever show up like we did at Arkansas again.Realistically at the beginning of the season, I felt the program should be on a 10-2 regular season footing this year. But in being lackadaisical at Ark, we've fiddle farted our margin of error away. Now we have to take care of business Saturday and either against UGA or Bama. And everyone is still going to be gunning for us the way that Arkansas was. We have to play and coach aggressive, disciplined and smart.
