Recruiting Football Talk VIII

If they let the other team hold and commit other live ball penalties without ever calling them, then yes, it definitely effects the outcome of the game.

*that was the play I was fussing about the other night. If that gets called, the hogs would've had to punt or have a long 4th down. We played like crap but that play ended up deciding the game. SEC referees are trash and have no shame...... or consequences.

I say this with empathy: I'd hate, hate, hate to be a property owner in Florida right now--even above and beyond the expected damage from these storms.

If these storms cause a bit of a mass exodus, and prevent people from wanting to live in (or move to) Florida due to the concerns you state above, the property value will tank and lots of poor Florida residents will be stuck. The market there would collapse and lots of people would lose wealth they probably spent a lifetime accumulating.
I love the Tampa area and would love to live around Treasure Island. This could be catastrophic and make that almost impossible. It's terrible. There's an area there where you could park your car for the weekend, walk to Publix, a drug store, multiple great bars (VIP Mexican), and sit out on a massive beach outside of Sloppy Joes. Or, we would go to Caddys and watch fireworks. Now? What will be left?

If by chance it was #8 vocal at practice today, it's about time. #8 should lite a fire under both bookend offensive linemen continuously while on the field and sideline.

#8 is the straw that stirs the drink, he needs to act like it.

Hooker wasn’t afraid to get in people’s ass

Exactly. Was just about to say this.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but what are we supposed to believe? That is statistically improbable.

And for what it is worth, last year at Bama was one of the most frustrating to watch...they only had one penalty all game (5 yards - delay of game). And statistically, we were close or better in almost every category, except penalties. We were 8/55 and Bama was 1/5. This doesn't even take into account the weird "front line on KO return waved is hand, so the returner is down where he caught it" nonsense that pinned us inside the 5. You have to want to call something like that.

Something just isn't right.

Call me crazy, I have a feeling #27 was the “quiet” player getting more vocal.

This was his best game BY far this season, statistically speaking.

If Pearce has a fire under his ass and starts getting after his teammates things could really start happening.
We just need all leaders to hold others accountable

I HATE FLORIDA WEEK.

This is the week I feel like Leonardo DiCaprio at the end of The Revenant…from the brink of death, tracked down the dude that killed his son, and proceeded to fight him to the death… my feelings toward UF.

I wish I could transfer that feeling to all of our players that get to run through the T in Neyland this Saturday.

@Ulysees E. McGill
So glad to see that Milton shifted a little bit south so Tampa doesn’t get hit head on..I bet you’re relieved..Thank the Lord!! 🙏🙏
Yes...I know it sucks for Sarasota-Bradenton and everywhere south of there...but it's nowhere near as densely populated as the west and north sides of T-Bay.
