Much appreciated. Copperhead it is. Need Nico to grow up this week. He’s young but the talent is easy to see. SEC football is hard and especially hard for a young quarterback.

Boo Carter (prob will make true freshman AA)
McCoy - Day 1 pick potential
Gibson - Played really wel
Carter - Day 1 LB pick potential, imo
Telander - think he’s been great.
Jenkins - Played well when he’s out there


Still waiting to see more of Hobbs, Herring, and Matthews.

I'd like to see more of Moi. He's made an impact when he is in the game. Vols don't score that first TD if not for him. He's got that heart that this team needs

Wish I would’ve had real expectations for Nico as freshman, but nope expected him to be Heisman day 1.

Gotta step back, and realize he’s gonna make mistakes. Just frustrating lol

There was just way too much hype and momentum with Nico being a 5* and highly touted coming out of high school. National media didn’t help, fanbase was hungry for more Hendon especially after Joe, football program (understandably) didn’t try to lower the hype any. I know some local radio personalities were excited to see him be our starter, but always questioned with it being his first true year as the starting QB in the SEC.

Personally, I was excited but cautious. I probably believed more into him being the deal after the first few games because he played how we thought he would and should play. It’s also very tough to do anything with play calling when your OL blocks so bad they might as well shouldn’t be there. This is just elevating Nico’s bad play. But it’s not the sole issue. He needs to learn to do quick reads or single reads and scramble if they aren’t open. This OL is not allowing long plays to develop. His scrambling also needs work, but that’ll come as does it more (hopefully). Playcalling needs to reflect that, too. Need more screens, quick slants, other quick throws to help mitigate this porous OL.

Also, Elarbee needs to be fired.

Been here since 2008. Graduated in 1985. Love the recruiting forum and the Vols. Don’t bet everything you have on the Vols but we Roll the Tide at home.
